I’m interested to see if such a service can be put in to action and also for anyone else who sees this thread to vote and/or comment on whether or not such a service would prove beneficial or generally as something you would like to use.
A thread came up on this recently, don’t have a look to hand unfortunately. I’d have to say no to this one really, there are sites where it can and does work but I don’t feel it’s right for waypoint. Just another place on the site that would have to be actively moderated and bound to just be spammed. Forums are bad enough for that right now.
Why not just set up the chat to filter out links or repeated phrases then?
Put up a notification to those before entering to be aware of the live nature of a chat room?
Dear god no. There is enough to moderate and watch over on the site as is. We absolutely do NOT need a chat room.
If you want to chat with friends, there’s tons of other places on the internet to do that on.
