> Ever since I first played this particular Halo game, every day was either matchmaking, campaign, forge, etc. I did notice that a good size of the community still play this game even to this day. When Bungie was still running it, that spark was there and it kept growing day by day because it was so damn fun. It had a well-structured story along with graphics that perfectly depicted the old days before the first Halo. It moved me in the end and it inspired me to keep going even when things seem hopeless. Someday, my one wish is for Bungie to return to Reach so that we can enjoy the good old days where players and clans were at their highest peak.

> Of course, I know that it is a bit of a stretch but I would definitely turn back time if it means doing so again. I had so many memories there: the creation of my first clan, joining a clan, meeting new people behind the game, making super unique structures, and performing those sweet assassinations when you had the chance. Ahhhhhh, what an adventure that was. So now I turn to you guys and gals.

> Do you believe that Halo Reach earned the recognition of being a classic?
that depends on you definition of a classic. To many, Halo Reach was the beginning of a steady decline of a once beloved and unique franchise. Many of my old friends I used to play Halo 2 and Halo 3 with hated Halo Reach with a passion so hot it could melt steel. I was never that fixated on “classic movement” in the past, so Halo Reach stuck pretty well with me, especially since I played it for the first time while living in my barracks room in the Army and it was a great way to chill out at the end of the day. However, unbeknownst to me, there was an entire community of thousands of people who hated Halo Reach for everything it was, and in recent years I began to understand why.
Reach was the beginning of the “COD” skinned Halo trend: armor abilities, sprint, no competitive ranking system and an experience system. All of these things rubbed former Halo fans the wrong way because what Halo Reach did was basically abandon all the features that made Halo unique to the FPS market. I don’t think Reach is a bad game, but looking from the perspective of a hardcore Halo 2 or 3 fan, I can totally understand why they felt betrayed and slapped in the face by Halo Reach.
What really gets me goin’ is how the same people who constantly claim that Halo 4 and 5 are not “true Halo games” are the same ones that say things like “Halo Reach was the last good Halo” or that “Halo Reach was the best Halo game ever made,” which is pretty hypocritical because Halo Reach was the entire reason why Halo 4, the game they claim to hate, even continued the loadout and perk system in the first place. lol
Is it a classic? well that just depends on who you ask. I really don’t even like the term “classic” in the first place because it implies that something is old and outdated, when that’s simply not true because “classic” Halo CE doubles is still one of the most competitive and replayable game modes today, and Halo 3 tournaments still have lots of viewership and interest from the public.
