WHY does every H4 thread have Call of Duty in it? It’s always Halo 4 vs CoD, blah, blah, blah.
Where are the Halo 4 vs MoH: Warfighter threads? Or the Halo 4 vs Farcry 3 threads?
You guys act like Black Ops 2 is the ONLY shooter coming out this year.
As you and I already know, the chances of Halo 4 even coming CLOSE to Black Ops 2 sales/popularity wise is very low, so why not compare it to something more realistic like the choices above? I haven’t seen ONE thread mentioning H4 being better than any of the above games, or any threads comparing the two. Diversity, people. PLEASE.

I know Bioshock isn’t out yet. I said games that have yet to be released.
Because Blops/MW is one of the only other competitive online shooters on the Xbox that’s worth comparing (Numbers wise) to Halo.

Spec Ops: Again…Lol.
Bioshock Infinite: Not coming out this year I don’t think.
Far Cry 3: Not even close to competitive with games like Halo and CoD.
Rainbow Six: Totally different genre of shooting.
My point is, CoD and Halo are in this ring all of their own, battling it out. They might not be similar games, but they are both in this 16-player, TDM, run-n-gun shooter genre, and that’s what’s popular atm.
Also, have you seen Halo 4? It’s TRYING to be compared to CoD. They’ve certainly copied enough from it…
Maybe if 343i would steal all of their ideas thrown in this game, from other games… Then we could. But it’s not our fault Halo is turning noob friendly and trying their HARDEST to be CoD.

H4 is not trying to copy anything. Every game has pieces from others in it. That’s how it works.

If it was trying its hardest to be CoD then there would be no spartans,a crappy campaign,it would have been out right after reach it would have no good story.Rethink what you say before you say it,and ill bet youll take this back after tommarow.

If you’re referring to me, you’re wrong. Call of Duty has a great formula, and if one of my favorite shooters takes aspects from it, unlike other fanboys, I’d be happy about it.

Well then you can’t compare Halo to cod because the physics are entirely different and Halo is 500 years in the future.

No he’s part of the solution. He’s willing to see if additions such as these could work and help the game evolve. You’re part of the problem you want every Halo game to be the same which in the end will make Halo even more like CoD than it could ever be in any other circumstance.
Halo 4 is not cod. It is its own game and always has been and will be. Just wait till tomorrow to get more info

If you want Halo to be like CoD, go play CoD! Some of us want to play an arena FPS titled HALO.
Though it appears 343i is listening to you and the rest of the barbarian horde. Instead of returning to Halo’s roots and working up from there, 343i has all but decimated core Halo gameplay. Someday I will be an old man living in the desert and a young boy will approach me. After digging around in my old video game collection I will gift him with my original Halo trilogy reciting, “Not as clumsy or random as a CoD class shooter. An elegant competitive shooter, from a more civilized age.”
As for Fiddler on the Roof, it is a classic musical set in rural Russia, with one of the classic numbers and opening being about “TRADITION” and it’s importance to society. Of course the musical is also about breaking tradition and the good that can come from it, so I anxiously await the hopeful success of non-traditional, but not really new either, Halo 4.
