Can fall damage and bloom be turnd off ......

Do you think there will be a certain playlist or gametype that will have Bloom and Fall damage turned off , if so do you think if its a good idea.

I think its great , because if you don’t feel like having bloom and fall damage you get a gametype or a playlist that will turn both of them off

Classic should be the play list. Classic has been conformed.

Bloom, yes.
Fall Damage, depends, if the fall damage isn’t as harsh as it is in Reach, and it’s more of you fall 8 or 10 feet, you lose a quarter of your shields, any greater you run the chance of dying, then I wouldn’t care if there was an option to turn it on or off.

I’m definitely wanting a fall damage toggle/slider.

Actually, it’s been confirmed that both the DMR and the pistol will have Bloom. We’ve actually known this for a while now. Source

Why does everyone hate fall damage so much? Without it, people could just drop from 100 feet up and be just fine. I could see how turning off fall damage would be useful for Customs, but it’s kind of necessary in MM.

Because I don’t want to get killed with one shot when my feet touch the ground

also Bloom is not really bloom from halo REACH is a changed form of Bloom / kind of

What if it was a last minute opportunity and it would take a while to plan something else??!

I have high hopes that if there is bloom, it wont affect the gameplay!

It is, at least for the pistol. Did you not see the video? In fact, I can find a non-leaked video that shows the pistol firing, no bloom.

That was an early build.

In campaign, fall damage is very inconsistent.

In Reach, you see Grunts and Jackals being dropped off from big heights and they can immediately start walking when they land. In CE, you see them do a landing animation before they can start moving. Same thing with Elites. Sure Noble Team also have fall damage but they’re bs Spartans. They don’t count. They have shields that recharge when they’re taking damage and can have 2 armor abilities.

Also, in Reach, crouching only reduces the damage (negating it completely is hard unlike in CE). You have to be really creative to avoid the stun and that’s bs because I want to focus my creativity on kills, which is more artistic.

One thing I like about Super Smash Bros. is that you can cancel your landing lag completely instead of just reducing it. If fall damage returns, then I should be able to negate it completely with good timing instead of just reducing it’s effect. Reach and Smash Bros. Brawl are pretty similar. They both have fail AI, bs difficulty, took out all the things that take skill (that Project M is dedicated to restoring and H4 will be correcting), added bs (tripping, bloom), etc.
