Edit: (Should have mentioned) I have also been burned out by the reveal to but all I am asking for is for people to just scale it back from enraged to cautiously optimistic or just cautious and not just upset.
There is no Beta. It’s likely been cancelled.
The game looks awful & very unfinished & it deserves all the harsh criticism.

That’s a swell idea, to wait for the beta. Or, it would have been like 4 months ago. Ya know, back when it would’ve been useful. We haven’t had a good Halo campaign since Reach, or arguably Halo 4. So, after a straight up dry spell spanning 5 years following the biggest campaign flop of all time, folks have a darn good reason to be upset. That 8 minute trailer makes up more than 50% of the Halo Infinite content that we’ve seen in HALF OF A DECADE. It’s not being picky when any one of the community Halo animators could’ve made a better trailer. I mean, just look at Loacher’s return to Reach trailer on YouTube and tell me that 343 has a right to churn out this garbage.

There’s more to a game than just ‘game-play’. Graphics are just as important, so far everyone has the right to be annoyed when we have things like[ this.
](https://i.imgur.com/Af62Kar.jpg)If 343i chooses to release a 2nd demo with the ‘graphics’ fixed then sure the previous criticism probably can be ignored but this is an Xbox series X launch title and we’re probably expected to pay £500-£700 on a new console to see Halo Infinite with the best graphics possible and yet you’re acting like people can’t be mad about the ‘demo’ that people are expected to play with a demo that doesn’t match what the XSX is capable of, a lot of people are going to assume this is what the final product will look like.
And that’s not including the prices of the games that XSX are suppose-able going to cost when the console releases and with no sign of a beta whatsoever yet. Also 4 minutes of game-play and 6 minutes of in-game cutscenes should be more than enough to get an idea of what a game feels like, those 10 minutes are what is meant to sell people on a game.
No, the (constructive) criticism is justified. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the demo and am very hyped for the game but there are several significant red flags present that need to be addressed ASAP. Even coming from someone who likes 4 and 5, this demo was very concerning and 343 does not deserve absolute praise until they can prove they’re on top of this.
We all love Halo, that’s why we criticize. The reality is that this game is getting flamed by the world at large. BBC wrote an article about how bad the game looks…come on people wake up & stop defending 343 & Microsoft.
They misled us with those 2 “in-game engine” trailers & hyped us up for this MESS of a game.
Not to mention this guys: Ray tracing is CONFIRMED to not be in the game at launch. That’s right, one of the key next gen features won’t ship with the game.

In 343’s official post after the reveal, they literally said that there may be a scaled down beta or no beta at all.
I think this was a far better direction than going further in the way of halo 5. There’s no way to please everyone so chill, it’s not bad
Why would you ask people to chill out when they have just been shown that rubbish demo, the graphics look dated, they have not moved with the times, the design is so bad, looks like it’s solely made for kids not the fans who grew up with it imo
I am chill I think halo infinite will be like destiny release game then add 60 dollar dlc packs

Yeah but it’s just graphics yeah they don’t look great and amazing but look at games like anthem looked beautiful but was just not a good game.
I just don’t get how people can say “halo is dead” just because the graphics were bad it’s really dumb, what matters more is if the game feels smooth and fun to play.

Yeah but even if those 8 minutes are half of the news we saw it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s still only 8 minutes of infinite that we’ve seen and acting like the game is ruined is just stupid at this point.
I am chill, just got nothing better to do right now so I might as well discuss Halo. The game honestly looks like an open world Halo 5 minus the thrust pack abilities. The art direction is fine but the graphics look worse than Halo 3.

Wasn’t the OG community saying like 2 months they wanted the graphics to have a classic and older feel?
I get that the graphics are bad but honestly if they look dated is it worth saying “halo is dead”

I haven’t seen anyone say “Halo is dead” yet. Here’s the problem I dont think many people like yourself are looking at.
This was the time to show off the game, the first real impression we are getting and you know what they say about first impressions. Yes, in the grand scheme of things graphics are not gonna ruin gameplay, but if this is them showing off the game then what else got neglected?
Had we gotten this a year before release then the reception would not have been this bad. But we are just a few months away from launch. How much can flights really do at this point? Pray to God that multiplayer does not have any large issues because it can take games forever to fix bugs. Thats not even counting the fact of life that ALL games launch with some issues.
The graphics tell us there could be more wrong with the game.

I agree completely with that I myself have gone from hyped to cautiously optimistic but some people are just flat out saying after 8 minutes that halo is done and dead and I feel like I’m losing brain cells reading the forums

Listen, if the multiplayer comes out and it has a completely separate section without sprint and clamber and all that, I’ll probably be happy, otherwise, why is it not okay for people who are passionate about a franchise, and who have waited 5 years for this product, to express their disappointment with what was shown?
