Does anyone know if Bungie can buy back Halo from 343 Industries? It seems like they can but there would be no point considering they were going to end Halo on Halo 3 so there would be no point for Bungie to buy it back right?
343 doesn’t own halo, Microsoft does.
As for bungie buying halo, no there’d be no point as Bungie has no interest in it nor have they hinted in wanting to.
Bungie left cause they themselves didn’t own halo, so it’s hard to stop making something you don’t own but are still contracted to work on, hence halo odst and reach to fulfill the contract and then leave afterwords.
anyone can buy the IP, the question would be if Microsoft would sell it off.
