Your best bet is the Standart playlist. You’ll find games very quickly there. Big Team Battle in the Evolved playlist is also populated. Firefight is a great way to earn credits and you can still find games relatively fast.
And an important note: AVOID GRIFBALL AT ALL COSTS.
The game still has a healthy playerbase. It’s really worth getting back into.
As for the helmet, I don’t know, but I think it will carry over.
You’ll still have your helmet. In case you’re switching from playing on 360 to One, you’ll have to re-download it.
I’v managed to find games on matchmaking in Reach, so I would assume you shouldn’t have a problem. So happy people are still playing, it really is such a fun game.
