Can Anyone Remind Me of All Actions 343 Has Taken to Listen to the Community Since the Games Release?

Yep, and got an unfinished, content lite, broken game. It sure looks good though.

Also, H5 armor > Infinite chastity belt armor

You’re hitting the nail on the head mostly. The only thing is, the whales will move on to bigger and better things and the dedicated players won’t. They’ve already shown their hand in saying they expect this game to last for at least the next six years. Fortnite has barely been out that long, and look at the ups and downs that has had. And it was the first and biggest to do it so far. How can you possibly think that springing a worse system on your user base (that is mostly full of already dedicated fans) is possibly going to work? You’re going to make a quick buck once, and then you will no longer have whales or dedicated users. It’s entirely braindead no matter which capacity you look at it in. From a money making standpoint or from the viewpoint of a gamer. They could have easily easily sold bundles for $5-7 and everything else individually for a dollar(depending), and I guarantee they would be making the same amount, if not more money. The Halo fanbase isn’t the same as others and this franchise has only been around because the fans love it so much. We’re certainly not here still because 343 has done such an amazing job with the game since they got it. Players would have gladly spent $5 for their choice of a rare helmet, skin, and a couple of extra items. Forcing them to spend 4x that amount and locking almost everything behind a paywall is just pants on head.

XP patch, slightly cheaper shops.

Most development companies are born on the backs of a few extremely passionate people. 343 was created by Microsoft, we all know if wasn’t from a passion for halo.

You just enlightened me to this, I hadn’t even thought about it that way before whoa

Exactly. After Bungie got a bit experimental with Reach, all of that feedback gave 343 what they needed to know to make a game the community would be happy with. They didn’t care. 4 and 5 only got a lot of their work thrown to the side because the games weren’t popular with mainstream audiences

…did you play Halo 5 and see their plastic toy “armor”?

True! Not only could they make a similar amount of money with lower prices, but they could alienate less fans, get better reviews, etc.

Hopefully some day they realize this. Halo is not kept alive by esports, it’s kept alive by the fans like us who pore over every bit of lore we can get our hands on. Ironically I don’t even need new lore or worlds or characters, there is so much content to explore, and nearly 30 years of the covenant war before Halo: CE that could use some awesome desperate feeling campaigns. I love the idea of an ODST game that actually has you maneuvering your drop pod onto an open world and fighting to defend a colony or something, then the next mission has you drop into yet another planet. 2540s would be such a cool era of the war to explore.

I just hope it gets added to Infinite at some point.

The good stuff is.
We do have confirmation of War Master, Scout, Enforcer, and a few others being on the Mark VII; likely to release next season. And there is THANKFULLY no sign of Goblin, Seeker, Atlas, Breaker, Vector, or Athlon
