Can anyone help me with a Few basic questions

I have some questions, if anyone can help please. Pretty basic stuff.

  1. How does the radar work. If I walk does it show on enemy - or only when running / shooting?

  2. I used an overcharged plasma pistol to try to EMP vehicles, but it didn’t seem to work. Is this correct?

  3. The new waypoint app, doesn’t have the forums? Is this function coming?

  1. Radar is always active unless you’re crouching/crouch walking.
  2. Unfortunately the EMP effect doesn’t work in this game. Hopefully they change it back before launch.

Thank you, yes very helpful. I’m really surprised they removed the emp. I feel the frustration of jumping in a brand new shiny wasp and getting emp’d immediately, but I thought a reduction in range would be better than removing completely.

  2. It doesn’t seem so, but people were saying on reddit that bots were shutting their vehicles down with EMPs, so not really clear right now. Either way, hope it’s changed in the final release.

  3. Not sure, totally guessing, but I think they might only be testing the stats aspect on the app rn.

Yeah, if they really removed it for good, then that would be dumb as it was one of the few ways to challenge a vehicle on foot. It made for a good balance.

Just to clarify Q2, the EMP is now part of the electric weapons. You can use the Dynamo Grenade or Shock Carbine to stop any vehicles in their track.

The Plasma Pistol doesn’t do vehicle EMP but still removes shields. It’s currently unclear if it’s EMP functionality is returning.
