Hi can anyone please help me . I love halo 5 when it works properly but it rarely if ever does for me . I live in the U.K. Norfolk to be precise. I have struggled to understand ,improve my experience. I find my mellee to work inconsistently at best even a direct sneaky from behind but more worryingly I often get the exact number of shots on target for the weapon I’m using but I don’t get the kill e.g hit 5 shots with the magnum but no kill even when getting hit markers . I upgraded my internet speed to around 25 / 30 download speed and upload from 0.67 to around 9 Mbps I stopped using my 40 inch telly and started using a 16 inch I use a wired controller and I’ve tried Ethernet cable (which doesn’t make any difference to me) . I can not understand why one day it works then others it is unplayable . Ranked arena is only playable sometimes because of this where I am high plats or diamond ffa without being able to play this more. My overall experience of the game is awful but I love halo but other than getting a gaming monitor ( which I will soon ) I am at a totally loss what to do I’ve spent hours scouring the internet and YouTube as to get advice tips etc I’ve tried as many as possible but I still can’t get an improvement. I understand the servers can be a problem but this doesn’t explain it being so inconsistent the main problems are …

lag
sluggish controller response / heavy reticle
slow sluggish movement
mellee not working when full health take a single mellee to the face and dying
spartan ability inconsistent i.e ground pounding directly on top but no kill spartan charge no kill
when throwing grenedes slow response to command

All this stops me from playing the style I like and most of the time completely from ranked / war zone / certain playlists -
please please if anyone has any advice , help or similar issues let me know as I am now very close to putting halo down forever .

I think there is a ghost in our machines. I have the same problem with close quarter combat and windmilling the AR. I’m an SR149 and have learned to live with it, or rather die with it. I never had this much trouble with other Halo’s so I guessing it’s just H5.

If you’re on an Ethernet connection, try using a shorter cable to “decrease the signal’s travel distance”. It may sound ridiculous, but it could be a viable solution, albeit a rather unusual one. In most cases, resetting your Internet connection will flush out most problems with our console’s online performance.

yea theres all kinds of weird problems this games has/had and growing i was watching someone play on twitch and in a game a grenade lost its skin and it was just this glowing blue ball like it was still being built as a 3-D model, like pre alpha look. I could write a 10 page essay with all the weird things i’ve had happen to me, hell one time a guy spawned next to me but the game spawned him underground, he fell to his death and it gave me a betrayal
