Can anyone explain the reticle's position?

Does anyone know why the reticle’s position on the screen is still 2/3 of the way down instead of dead center? It’s been like this since Halo 3 and I can’t understand why.

And it makes the gun block more of the screen.

Who knows? It’s not something that bothers me at all anyway

Doesn’t bother me. It looks fine.

I don’t know. Now that i see it i’m wondering too… Never really noticed it before though.

That is the point. The more of the screen the gun blocks the less the xbox has to render. The xbox is an old machine and to get games looking good creators need to find tricks to make the system work. That is one of the reasons that the new guns are so large, a.k.a the sniper.

And it takes up less of the screen because if the reticle was higher the gun would be higher therefore taking up more of the screen.

Interesting…I welcome the change.

Has to do with orientation and gamers who get motion sickness while playing in first person.
