Can anyone explain the ranking system to me?

For me its almost impossible to go from a Onyx 2 to a 3…every time I lose a game I drop 20+ points, but when I win, they give me 10-12 points.

it depends on who you beat/loose to. if you win agains someone higher ranked you get more points. if you loose to someone lower ranked you loose more points.

Right…they have to do something about quitters on your team. If everyone quits on my team and I’m the only one that sticks around to take the -Yoink!- whipping, I shouldn’t be penalized for it. Because if they are going to take the max form me, I might as well quit myself and save myself some time.

You’re not gonna get into semi-pro running solo. That’s your main problem. Most of us are running 3s and 4s. Even if you do make it, don’t expect to stay there for long if you don’t run with a party.

The ranking system isn’t supposed to be easy. You SHOULD lose more points for losing than you gain for winning. That means people who consistently lose games don’t end up in semi-pro. You didn’t get 50s in Halo 3 with a 50% win ratio or lower. You had to win a LOT. Like 75% or higher. As it should be.
