Hi can someone please explain to me about the excessive disconnect part of the halo 5 guardians multiplayer arena bans. Also does it have to do with bad internet connection as i have a bad internet connection. Thanks
I think It means if you disconnect like every game before it ends like intentionally, probably like i dunno say in 5 consecutive games you disconnect before the game ends.
If you only disconnect once due to bad internet you are probably fine, but if it happens in a row then they will probably look into it, but thats how i think it will work.

Pretty much what this guy said. As long as you’re not disconnecting from every other game you shouldn’t have to worry about it. Plus, if your internet is really bad enough to cause you to genuinely disconnect that frequently, you have bigger things to worry about than a temporary matchmaking ban.

What? It’s my understanding that any early departure from a match has been treated as a quit, for precisely that reason – there was no distinction between a quit and a disconnection. At least, that’s definitely how it worked in Reach. :\
Honestly, the quit ban is fine, and all but maybe for the first three there should be insentive not to quit, unless you’d be notched a few levels back down as punishment.
It has to do with numerous amounts of disconnets from the game. For example, if your trying to get a good placement for Ranks but always get stuck in a lobby where the other team is destroying you and you try pulling a fast one by;
- Pulling Ethernet cord
- Dashboarding
- Shutting off internet
- Any way that disconnects internet
343 will look at how many times this occurs and will Ban you because your cheating the system. Sure you can get away with it a couple times but any further then a couple then your Banned.
If you disconnect from a game that match has been unfinished. By disconnecting midmatch, maybe because your loosing bad and don’t want to have a bad record, that match won’t count. You might not even receive a loss out of it. It would be like that match never happened because you used above method.
Once game is fully completed, then all your stats are saved. If you won/loss. Kills/assists/medals Ect.

I like it it discourages people from quitting just because they aren’t doing good in a game.
I have charter and the past month the Internet will cut out 2-3 times a day then come back 10 secs later. I fear how that will go once in multiplayer…

I’ve been playing and just the other day I got disconnected bout 2-3 times before the opening sequence finished, but have yet to be banned so I’m personally confused as to how they throw them out, I sure as heck know it’s not on my side since every time I get a disconnect I take a quick look at my iPad to see if the Wi-Fi went down which it doesn’t so might be an issue on their side? I just personally jump back into another game and tend to not run into the issue till later that day or even a couple days after.

Was reposting your whole previous post plus a little add-on really needed? They have an edit button you can use to add extra stuff if you forget something 
but yeah disconnections suck, but I’m sure it’ll get figured out. Tech isn’t as simple as it used to be and neither is coding… Get nightmares thinking about it…

Lol didn’t notice that, I’m new to this site plus I think my dramatic rage rant assisted that. But this is getting to be a huge nuisance now and there’s nothing a simpleton like me can imagine what to do about it, other than just not play at all. Really trying to tone down the drama here but I literally got into 4 games in a row didn’t even get passed 10 kills either team and I get disconnected… AND THAN BANNED for 2 hours because only God knows. Seems that swat is the only playlist of them all that I can get consistent games. Leading to even further confusion and frustration. You’re definitely right tho I’ve had that same headache for 6 hours now, haven’t gone to sleep yet trying to solve this problem looking at online suggestions to the similar problem but those tend to do me more harm than good. I’m sure this happens to everyone but my games are so inconsistent even with a proper connection.
I just got temp. banned because my internet connection is so bad, I love what 343 has done with halo so far but this is just stupid. My internet does crash (like today) but it kept happening over and over again and now I’ve been banned. I wish they could find a better way of rooting out quitters in the game

This is Bullsh@it. I can’t believe that this is even a thing. Third time this has happened to me. Fix this 343!
so the disconnect ban time increases indefinitely?? my connection is fine but when my roommates are streaming simultaneously i sometimes get disconnected a few times in a row… then banned. my ban time has gone from 5 min to 5 hours in about 5 bans total over 3 months. does 343 want me to just not play the -Yoinking!- game?? total -Yoinking!- -Yoink-. -Yoink- you -Yoinks!-.
oh and i’ve never been disconnected from any other online game (destiny, elder scrolls, etc.) so again. -Yoink- 343 and it’s -Yoink- servers and harsh, blind banning.
