Can anyone bring me back to Halo 4?

I haven’t played this game in around 2 months or more. I’ve got all the map packs, got to rank 130, completed every Spartan Ops mission and the campaign. Since my last game I’ve been drawn away from the game and been playing more PC games. Likely I got bored and saw no reason to come back. Perhaps I did not like doing Matchmaking constantly, but recently I’ve been wanting to come back to it and see how things might have changed.

So, can anyone offer any changes in the last 2 months that may be of interest to me, as to make me return to Halo 4 once more? I don’t think I can search through every news item and whatnot made in that time, so a rundown would be appreciated. I want to get back into the swing of things again.

Only you can bring yourself back to Halo 4.

BR is 4 SHOT KILL

Carbine is 7 SHOT KILL

The Light Rifle has also been buffed

AR less aim assist and 3 shots less to kill

Storm Rifle less aim assist and 3 shots less to kill

Movement speed increased to 110 % which means truster pack has a meaning now

DMR IS NO LONGER THE WAY TO GO WEAPON

Population is a little bit growing

Halo 4 is more fast paced like Halo 2

Again the BR is 4 Shot

Static Power weapon spawns are mostly back on all maps

Team Throwdown will be updated monday with V4 Settings

Better CSR Matchmaking

Not to mention mini slayer on Monday xD

So many tiny spartans, so much hilarity.

This is what happened in the Halo 4 Turbo:

BATTLE RIFLE
*The Battle Rifle damage has been increased. The Battle Rifle is now capable of killing in four bursts.
*The Battle Rifle rate of fire has been slightly decreased.
*The Battle Rifle red reticle range (range at which auto-aim benefits kick in) has been decreased.
*Two bursts from a Battle Rifle followed by a melee will now kill an opponent (2-shot melee).

CARBINE
*The Carbine damage has been increased. The Carbine is now capable of killing in seven rounds.
*The Carbine accuracy has been increased (projectile spread decrease).
*The Carbine red reticle range has been decreased.

LIGHT RIFLE
*The Light Rifle zoomed rate of fire has been increased.
*The Light Rifle un-zoomed rate of fire has been slightly decreased.
*The LightRifle red reticle range has been increased to match the updated DMR range.

DMR
*The DMR red reticle range has been slightly decreased.

ASSAULT RIFLE
*The Assault Rifle damage has been slightly increased. The Assault Rifle now kills in three less rounds.
*The Assault Rifle auto-aim angle has been reduced.
*The Assault Rifle projectile spread has been decreased.

STORM RIFLE
*The Storm Rifle damage has been increased. The Storm Rifle now kills in three less rounds.
*The Storm Rifle auto-aim angle has been reduced.
*The Storm Rifle projectile spread has been decreased.

SUPPRESSOR
*The Suppressor damage has been increased. The Suppressor now kills in three less rounds.
*The Suppressor auto-aim angle has been reduced.
*The Suppressor projectile spread has been decreased.

SAW
*The SAW’s damage has been increased to maintain double the damage-per-second of the Assault Rifle.

MAGNUM
*The damage has been slightly increased. The Magnum is still capable of killing in six rounds.

VEHICLES
*The damage has been increased on both the Mantis and Warthog Chain Gun.

Lastly, base player movement speed has been increased from 100% to 110% across all playlists and modes. All of these balance tweaks will be released this coming Monday in order to provide a more fast-paced, optimized matchmaking experience, and all of Halo 4’s applicable Matchmaking game types will be affected by this change. Team Snipers, Grifball, and Action Sack’s Rock N’ Rail will not see any changes, however, as the weapons in these game types are not affected. Some game types (such as Action Sack’s Lightning Flag), will not receive the change due to the preferred pace and balance in the current tuning. Moving forward, select game types in the Action Sack playlist may use alternate weapon tuning, and we will be sure to provide information on these game types when the time comes.

There is literally no reason to play halo 4.

There has been a massive weapons tuning and map static spawns have changed.

Other than that just get up and try it out if you feel like playing it… No game stays entertaining forever, you are supposed to cycle through and just play what sounds good that day so I don’t understand your predicament. If you want to play, play it. If not, don’t. That easy

There is literally no reason to play most video games by that logic. Real helpful. If you just hate halo 4 to the point where you see no redeeming qualities, then get the -yoink- off halo 4’s forum and stop trolling.

Reach still has a decent population. Halo PC still has a decent population.

That should be enough to bring you back to Halo :stuck_out_tongue:

Halo 3 still has people playing it  Me included.

Though, I love all halo games. In different ways.

There’s no reason to play halo 3, dead rising, minecraft, pokemon, smash bros, mega man, max payne, forza, mario kart, batman arkham asylum, marathon, dead pixels, universe sandbox, terraria, etc

there’s no reason to play any game, and may I ask if you don’t like halo 4, then why are you on the halo 4 section of waypoint?

Good reasons aren’t they?

At least it’s good to see they’ve done some changes to up the pace a bit. Should be interesting to see just how it plays out, once I renew my XBL subscription one more time. Shame about the Xbox One though, so I might as well squeeze as much fun out of Halo 4 while I can, since I won’t be able to move on due to budget constraints amongst other things.

Your comment is kinda weird?

Glad to see you returning and give a try again!

Tell me what you think after you played it

That’s certainly true for Halo 4 Multiplayer. You would not have the MP numbers drop from 300,000 to 80,000 in the first month if Lag didn’t make the game unplayable.

I quit playing multiplayer H4 (after ~1400 war games) and switched back to Reach on June 2. Of the ~40 BTB games I have played since then in Reach, I have normal “H4 Type Lag” for maybe 30 seconds in those games (in H4 70% of my games are lagged by 0.5 to 5 second range). Other mp games I play also don’t lag - it’s just H4. If I want to have a good lag free Halo game, I go Halo Reach. In the reach BTB Lobby, there are usually 1,500 players and I get into a BTB Game just as fast as I do on H4 when there are 9,000 players in the BTIS Lobby - so it’s not a number of players thing - it’s not my connection - it’s not the phase of the moon - it’s H4.

So you can tune all the weapons you want - but if your lagged by 0.5+ seconds you can’t hit crap.
