Spartans, i wonder if any of you can give me some good tips on how to improve my K/D ratio. I really like this game and i would like to be better at it.
A good one. Throw a grenade at your opponent before he arrives at your location. Once his shields are down, take him out with your weapon.

When my shields are down I usually stick a plasma grenade to their chests so if i die they come with me. Since i use this my K/D ratio is constantly growing, slow but certain.
Practice Strafing left to right to avoid shots and crouch strafe, make sure you get use to shooting while swaying
As good as any hints or tips the halo community can offer your best teacher is yourself. If you have a bad game watch it on the theater, observe your mistakes and the enemy’s successes and work to improve your own faults.

Sounds good, i’ll try it!
I would practice strafing, but don’t do the ‘MLG’ thing where you max out your sensitivity and twitch back and forth to try to avoid every shot. Take long strafes, and mix it up with some short ones occasionally and be sure you practice shooting while strafing as well. I’d say try out a sensitivity of 2-5 and see what works best for you.
Also, crouch strafing and crouch jumping is incredibly cowardly and nooby; it warrants absolutely no respect. Sure, you’ll probably win 99% of your fights by doing it, but everyone who falls victim to annoying tactics like that rolls their eyes and try their best to avoid kids who play like that.
Here are some other, more helpful tips:
- Stay focused and have the mindset of a winner when you play. - Get familiarized with the maps you play on to get the home field advantage. - Don’t horde all the power weapons if you get the chance, make sure they’re distributed among your best teammates. - To quote MURF, review games in the Theater and think about what you could have done differently. - Try to find out your opponents playing style, so you can use their weaknesses to your advantage. For example, if your opponents are experts at cross-mapping with DMR’s or BR’s, try getting up close, forcing them to fight you CQB to play on their lesser-developed playstyle.Hope all that helped.

What’s a Martyrdom?

Never practiced strafing, maybe this is why I am still at 0.750, anyways, thank you for all of the tips, Spartan, see you on the battlefield!
Another one. You’ll probably encounter a lot of ninjas in the game. What they do is to wait for you to charge at them, once you’re close enough. They jump and turn around to assassinate you.
I learned to counter that. When you see someone jumping and turning around. Jump as well and hit their backs. Giving them a taste of their own medicine.
Opportunistic BE expect a Right Time to attack
Just practice your BR, Halo 4 is all about how clean your shot is.

Where you sacrifice yourself to be the hero. Good example includes running point blank into a closed quarter group of huddled enemies with a rocket launcher, going out with a blaze of glory. Yeah, you died, but that overkill was totally worth it.

My shot is as clean as it could get. On local multiplayer (SWAT) almost all my kills are headshots, the rest are assasinations and i usually get 15-30 kills, should i try playing SWAT on matchmaking too?

Martyrdom was a perk in CoD where when you died you dropped a live grenade.

To be fair, when you come across people who do that, I find the best way to survive is to do the same thing. Kinda have a strafe contest - which looks incredibly silly in Theater -, unless you are good with frag grenades and rushing. However against casual-ish players, there is definitely no need for it.
