I’m all about respecting opinions and other peoples’ gamestyles.
But seriously? Noob combo? That’s one of the bigger reasons why a few are upset that PP is a loadout weapon.

No. However, you can still grab a plasma pistol or a magnum and replace it with your primary weapon in a match.
Like all Jacuzzis are hot-tubs but not all hot-tubs are Jacuzzis, all primary weapons should be all weapons while all secondary weapons should be reserved for secondaries unless overruled by Firepower.

Nothing wrong with that.
Limited range, limited individual power, charge time on the PP, AA’s such as TP, HLS and Hologram can block or avoid very easily, JP can do a decent job at avoiding and no matter how fast you can swap, the travel time on the PP makes it so that the range at which swapping so fast would be more useful than using a PP with another precision, a melee will almost have done a quicker job of dispatching the enemy.
The nice thing is that you can descope the target while the PP shot is in flight, and that’s a good thing.
The niche range where a both-pistols combo would dominate a rifled noob combo is part of the strategy of learning where specific weapon combo ranges tend to dominate and then exploit them. Exploiting range is what Halo’s sandbox revolves around.
