Can 343i just put the damn ranks in the game?

The halo 4 ranks need to be put in the game where everyone can see them. It is a pain in the -Yoink- to get on my computer and go to this laggy slow website just to see ranks which don’t even display the ranks of previous playlists such as regicide, majestic and crimson dlc, etc. I find it much easier to look up ranks on halotracker anyway.

I used to brag about having a high rank in halo 3, can’t do that in this game because ranks are such a joke. a good first step would be to put ranks in the game like they were in halo 3. You guys (343) come up with something good like a competitive sill rank, and then -Yoink- it up by saying it’s only going to be online and that there are individual scoring rank ups. EVERY PLAYLIST SHOULD BE BASED ON WINS!

and what’s up with this stupid -Yoink- achievement where we have to camp for 60 seconds…are you serious? you guys make the dumbest decisions.

I just use the trueskill on halotracker, as it can’t help but reflect my performance better than the score based CSR that ignores what your spread actually was.

Hopefully Halo 5 will reimplement visible trueskill with a reasonable rating system, but I suspect those days are in the past.

certin playlists should be based on wins. others should be KA/D based.

> certin playlists should be based on wins. others should be KA/D based.

Which is exactly how the current system works.

everything should be based on wins. put the ranks in the game already.

I was looking forward to playing this new champions dlc playlist and ranking up in it, but I found out it is individual scoring to rank up. It’s just annoying, individual scoring makes teammates not play like a team.

This has already been answered it isn’t possible.

Halo 4s ui wont let them but halo 5 will have divisions i think like gold silver bronze etc.

move the emblems underneat the service tag and then put the ranks right where the embelum is right now. geez. and change it everytime I change playlists. simple.

No. The current system just goes by the total score from all your medals. It doesn’t penalize for deaths regardless of what your ratio is. Actually, in a lot of ways deaths actually help boost your score.

all that matters is winning.

> all that matters is winning.

And if you piggy backed to it.

if he’s winning then that’s all that matters, what if you have to die a lot to get touches on the flag? everyone contributes to the team, everyone should benefit.

Sad but true from what 343 has told us…

In order for CSR to be a real RANKING system 2 things need to happen…

  1. people need to be punished for backing out in lobby or quitting or this would need to be removed altogether.

  2. Rank would have to be visible in GAME or at least have the option to show or HIDE Rank.

> if he’s winning then that’s all that matters, what if you have to die a lot to get touches on the flag? everyone contributes to the team, everyone should benefit.

Objective game types are obviously a little more difficult to analyze statistically.

In slayer game types you can certainly get a pretty good idea of what your contribution was in terms of kills, assists, and deaths. It won’t always be 100% accurate, but over the course of many games you should be able to get a real idea if your system isn’t fundamentally broken.

@funzbob

I’m alright with short handed players for example teams of 3-4 going up against a team of 8 backing out, that’s just terrible matching and I wouldn’t support that, but entire teams backing out against teams needs to be fixed.

#2 if possible can work, seriously just put the rank right under the embelum. simple

@ravens

I just think if a player isn’t contributing why would anyone want to carry him? honestly they are risking a loss against a good team if they do that, it’s a risk, make that player rank up slower then. but all that matters is winning.

Maybe you have really skilled friends. Maybe you consistently drag down your teammates. The person that carries his team to a win obviously hasn’t earned the same rank as the guy that his team wins in spite of.

well in this system good players and bad players can be happy. it’s much better then the system we already have and I honestly don’t care about anything but winning.
