I agree with you, people do this in arena as well and yes its almost certainly COD noobs.
However there’s so many times I’ve sprinted past a camper only to turn around and gun him down and get a reversal on him.
Halo doesn’t reward crouch camping, it rewards being on the move at all times and having quick reactions and good aim.
The only times it comes off is when you are trying to capture a base and your already engaged but then you usually die anyway.
I don’t think it’s just CoD Noobs doing this, the amount of times I’ve seen gamers with high ranks camping. People maybe see camping as a way to progress quicker. It is annoying and angers me that people pay good money for a game to hide and every so often shoot somehow, thats not playing.
Camping is a problem in most FPS games and as long as the game lets you do it people will always take advantage.

Camping/crouching is a HUGE part of Halo. That’s a legit strategy. Always has been.

And why wouldn’t they if they play to win? Playibg to win means utilising the most effective methods available in order to come out on top, without cheating of course.
Camping is one of many different tactics, and if the developers didn’t intend for much camping, then the maps lack in that aspect.
The “CoD noobs” have sought refuge here until BO3 drops.

Radar is perfect the way it is. Also, even if the radar was increased, you still can’t see crouched players on the radar so really this does not help anyone. Adapt to the radar change, because I have to adapt to AR/Pistol starts. You can’t have everything you want.

The Radar is piss poor for a number of reasons, but that’s a point of discussion for another thread.
Quit complaining about the radar. I play without one every game and i dont whine like a -Yoink-. Play swat for a while and see if you appreciate the radar you have when you go back to slayer
I’m not thinking about me when I’m complaining about the radar. I’ll play regardless even if I’m terrible. My big concern is for the playerbase. How is everybody going to feel if most of the playerbase gets run off to other games because two major game mechanics(Radar and ain) that have been essential to Halo have been materially changed. How much fun is it going to be when you can’t get a filled lobby for a game? That’s unlikely with the 4 vs 4. But very possible with Warzone and coming BTB.
Just play the game the way you want to, why get upset when others do the same?

How is camping a new thing in Halo?

I think Camping and Crouching is a perfectly fine strategy for Halo. It’s not something I always do but occasionally I will find a nice sniping spot and hang around that area. Crouching around corners and letting the other team run past you is great fun too - especially if two run past you and you tag one with a sticky grenade.

It’s not a problem it’s a strategy and been around way before cod came out. Like ww1 and wars before that. Oh wait, it happens in real life as well because people don’t want to die. Wow!!!

It’s funny how few people actually use logic on these forums. I do hate when people are crouched and I run by but it’s a game.
