I am not trying to troll here, just trying to distinguish two types of camping.
Alright so many people despise Active Camo Campers and Boltshot campers and I agree. It’s no fun and there is no point. This is coming from a person who occassionally camps for fun. Camping is only fun when you are a chokehold and you keep killing the enemy team where they become so obsessed with killing you because of your camping spot that they recklessly make it their mission to take you down. For example in Shutdown Infinity Slayer, I camp at the middle of the map in the lower level, you know where it has three openings and a hole to drop down to the basement and back to the lifts. I like camping there on the corners on top of the ramps with an assault rifle and wait for enemies to pass by. Sometimes I got 4 Beatdowns whih gave me an overkill. It was thrilling, then the enemy got so obsessed that they ignored my other teammates and made it a personal vendetta to come and kill me. It takes skill to hold your camping spot which I did. I was even sniping people at wierd angles. Even in Complex, sniping people at the corner, making the enemy so obsessed on killing you because you are camping and they foolishly try slowly crouch walking towards you, thinking they are going to take you by surprised only for them to be easily shot in the head by your sniper rifle. Even In Adrift while playing SWAT, hiding behind the pilars where you initially start the match. I always camp their with my Battle Rifle and I rack up more than 25 kills a game. It’s just that the enemy players noticed theirs a camper in the opposite team and they once again make it a personal vendetta to come and kill you. I was being flank by all sides; however they couldn’t kill me. I got a Killtacular once and my first perfection commendation. It’s thrilling knowing that the enemy is just sole focusing on you because even my teammates were asking me why were the enemy teammates ignoring them and just focusing on me. They were easy kills for my team. Yes I do agree Camo Campers and Promethean Campers are giving us Legit and Smart Campers a bad name. Camping is a protected art by the First Ammendment of the Constitution. There is nothing wrong about holding chokepoints. This is called smart playing. I am not trying to troll or anything, just my opinion.
Though i get what your saying, and camping does take some skill… and good teammates.Though using camo is a bit cheap with how it is currently, camo is too easily abused by DMR campers.
Hmm, game use to be about teamwork, whether in BTB on Slayer or in Objective. I actually find this kind of really sad. Started in Reach, less communication, more Lone wolfing with the AA’s. Now AC and its glitch, ppl just feel lazy and pull off camping for the whole match.
I really don’t mind Snipers and that, but why do ppl feel they must use AC to beat the game, and when they use it in Objective, they all hang back. That really -Yoinks!- things up when all your team is using AC and camping.
There is no “Art” to camping, a noob could do it… now the main ppl giving AC users a bad name is those camping while using the glitch and kill harvesting… then don’t even bother helping their team-mates.
I don’t camp using the Active Camo and Promethean Vision. Its boring and you don’t rack up kills. I like the Regeneration and Booster thrust. I’m talking about camping around chokepoints in maps

it depends on the game type. in a way, yes it’s kind of playing smart, but in the other way you’re not really contributing to your team.
