I haven’t been the only one requesting this to happen but posting it anyways. A large group of my friends have felt that there are gap in there story that has been questionible. For example, what happen to Noble 1, Carter between the mission “The Package” and the mission “The Pillar of Autumn”? Did they stop by some place and he get his butt kicked by something or is it really that dangerous sitting in the front seat of the Pelican? Just felt that the campain could have been a little bit longer. Its still a great game and amazing work was put into it. I know that there are deadline in producing such a product. But thats why we feel that it can always get better expanding more with it with downloadible content.
In the same scene where Carter is wounded, you can see a group of banshees attacking the pelican (you know, the reason you have to jump out of the pelican?). I think we were supposed to assume that the banshees were responsible for those wounds.

And with Anniversary and the new Halo trilogy on the way, there’s no way 343 has time to do something along the lines of your suggestion.

The windshield glass was partially shattered.

I would guess he got hit from behind at some point (which would explain the blood on the windshield), or he took damage during the firefight prior to heading for the Aszod shipbreaking yard. Either way, I would like an official explanation, though a DLC mission is a little much.
No its not its covered with Carters blood. Its a well made, undamaged cocpit with him blooding all over the place. Also, what button can I hit to charge up the T31R Needle Rifle to single shot people or Spartans in the head (Kats death refering). But thats just getting a little off topic. The campain feels just a bit short especially with co-op. We had downloads for firefight and Multiplayer. Why not make missions that can fit within the game. Maybe a mission in between, "Tip of the Spear’ and “Last Night of Solace.” Like battles of them escaping after that fight.
If they were to add an extra mission or two I’d like them to let us play as Jun after he left the group.
From what I heard, Jun died escorting Halsey to Castle Base being shot down and died in the crash leaving the atmostsphere.

The glassing EMP’d NOBLE Team’s shields. She was at the rear of the group, and hence closest to the sniper.
Or a mission of what happen to the last Noble 6 before he dies. A Mission Zero with a Epic battle of the last Spartans Death, but thats pretty unlikely to happen. Its just not like Bungie to do that. Though, thinking about it, The video “Deliver Hope” would fit considering with there surprise seeing the new Noble 6 looking like the Noble 6 that died before he blew the ship where Kat droppped the bomb as well getting her arm messed up.

Halsey is still alive. She left Reach in Ghosts of Onyx and there has been no mention of what happened to Jun.

Deliver Hope tells the story of how Thom (the previous Noble 6) died, and how Kat’s arm was damaged in battle forcing her to get the prosthetic seen in Reach.
