I’ve been thinking about this. It seems like it could be interesting. How I’m thinking it would work is:
- If not killed by a headshot, Assassination, or explosion(other than Frag Grenade), players will go into a Downed State. You can press “A” to call for help. - You have a small amount of HP while Downed, and can easily be finished off with a Melee attack. - You will not drop weapons if you are Downed, only when you are killed(or Killed from a Downed state) - The Downed state will last for 200% of the Respawn timer- once that is up, you are forcibly killed, and must respawn normally.I think this could give a bit more interesting dynamic to Warzone’s combat. What do you think? How could this be changed?
EDIT: I was mainly thinking this should be a WZFF thing. I just wanted to see if others thought it could be added into WZ. From what I can tell, that last part is a “no no no no”.
I think it was more relevant towards the campaign, not multiplayer as it would be frustrating for the players. I rather just die and respawn. Because even if they put you down, they are going to kill you for sure. They will most likely stand next to your body and either melee or shoot you to death. Really no point of it. Its simple, you died, respawn. No need for a revive.
I’m not running to pick you or anyone up, considering while I’m trying to I get downed too
Not regular Warzone, but in Firefight it would be nice.

That’s the only way it should be put in to Warzone…I don’t want to have to bail out other players…or have them revive me just to get downed again due to a nade.
No just no… This would be horrible… revive was horrible in the campaign… I hope to never see it again…

I don’t think it would work so well in regular WZ, but if there was a WZ playlist dedicated to teamwork then it would fit well in there, and in WZFF.
I hate the revive mechanic, even in Campaign…
No no no keep that atrocity away from WZ. The squad/revival mechanic single handily messed the Guardians campaign up for me and others. It’s the most unhalo esque thing so far, and it boggles my mind why it got implemented. Microsoft was supposed to be pressuring 343? That’s what people are saying right? Then why use this Gears Of War crossover. Keep it at Gears, it works well there opposed to Halo.
Point is…Spartans never die. But with that stupid revival thing they can die over and over and over really wish there was a skull that deleted your team mates & revival from campaign missions.
Would be a great addition to Warzone Firefight.
Ehhh, I would prefer not. Honestly, I wasn’t a big fan of the revive mechanic in the campaign, I would prefer that it remains out of the multiplayer portion as well.
I would rather have it in warzone firefight.
Unfortunately I guess the pessimistic assume-the-worst-about-human-nature side of me tends to assume nobody’s gonna risk dying themselves (especially with the respawn timer such as it is in later rounds) trying to revive me, so I feel like it’d be pointless. Everyone out there is pretty much looking out for themselves and most people probably don’t give a flip whether I’m waiting to be revived or not. Maybe I’m wrong.
I can already see the “downed spartan” begging for help and someone purposefully standing there watching them die.
and then tea bagging them once the deed is done…
this mechanic wont work unless there is a BIG incentive to do so. that mechanic worked for campaign but i dont see it having any benefit in WZ/FF
