Where will the campaign of Infinite take the story to. Will the story be set exclusively on the Ring or will other planets be involved? I would love to know your thoughts
Whatever’s necessary. I don’t want to go to planets that ultimately serve no function (basically, Reach, as a lot of people are requesting).
However, it is possible that Infinite could take exclusively on the ring given that the Discover Hope trailer is confirmed to be the opening of the game. They COULD shift locations, of course, but it’s safe to assume that the ring will play a large importance somehow. Perhaps, if it’s Zeta Halo, it could be a struggle about digging up it’s past and finding a sort of “kill switch” or solution to stop Cortana’s nearly endless Promethean force. I dunno, with Zeta Halo, there’s SO MUCH that could be done…
I’d love to spend a lot time on another Halo. I could just imagine the beautiful vistas powered by the Series X. Makes my toes curl. But I’d also love to see other worlds.
If I had to guess I’d say the entire time would be spent on the Halo but there could be the possibility of teleporting somewhere completely different at some point.
Maybe there would be DLCs or different character perspectives that would see you somewhere else?
Considering we haven’t spent much time on a Halo ring since Halo 2, I wouldn’t mind spending the majority of the game on or close to one. Vistas, views, and environments can vary plenty on the Halo rings, so there’s no reason why the team couldn’t be creative.
Whatever fits the story best though, at the end of the day.
Would love if it took place on new halo with new scenes and perspectives.
story wise it feels like they might go for a ensemble kind of the way Mass effect 3 did, show the continued fall of the galaxy as a whole and show where it is now and the for a lack of better description picking up the pieces of whats left whilst averting certain destruction by disabling the the Halo ring even then i doubt the ring is the biggest threat in the game as it seems more of a cop out of a simple story if it were the case.
I just hope for something similar to the majestic “Halo” level from Halo CE with grass, waterfalls, beautiful sky and some eerie structures to explore and I’ll be happy!
