Campaign xp

It would be great to have campaign and playlists to give xp to players.
As a player who loves to play the Halo campaigns more than multiplayer, something like that would be very appreciated.

An example that comes to mind would be getting first time playlist clear bonus xp and then giving a certain amount of xp depending on playlist that was completed. Laso giving the most amount.

Is there any plans or hope for a system like this?
Thanks for listening my feedback

I think the challenges alone do that pretty well

I would guess that 343 Industries won’t add the ability to get xp from the campaign outside challenges as a such system would be relatively easy to exploit. We can just consider Halo Reach as an example where Bungie (and 343 Industries) had to greatly nerfing the xp system due to the ease of exploiting it.

I think it could work.
Completing a Laso playlist is still a lot of work and playing the same amount of multiplayer would still give more xp.
Tuning the xp from smaller playlists so that even a speedrunner would gain less xp than someone who was playing multiplayer, would eliminate exploits.
You just have to adjust the xp right.

I like the pve challenges but when you complete them, it takes a week to get new ones and since you can complete them in the first day when they come out, after that you are not rewarded for playing the campaign.
And it’s always more fun and meaningful when you get progress and rewards from your time playing the game.

If they do it then they should have it as more of a performance based system not completion, I don’t know how they would balance it but I think it would be a change for the better if they tried.

I think this gets into the issue of why Campaign Missions are not on dedicated servers right now because the only way 343 could implement XP into the Campaign Missions is to move the missions onto dedicated servers and it would have to be done in a matchmaking environment most likely over coop, which is why Firefight has this and why we only can earn XP from doing challenges in the campaign missions currently. I REALLY want to see Campaign Matchmaking become a reality for the collection on every Halo Campaign plus Spartan Ops (plus upgrading CEA and 2A to support 4 player coop), this way, every single playable mode be it PvP and PvE we can earn XP from then, plus playing the campaign missions (especially Spartan Ops definitely) could become more replay-able with other people if 343 did this. Halo Reach had the ability to earn XP from replaying Campaign Missions, 343 should invest the time and energy into the Campaign side of the MCC more so its more replayable (the Moa statues rotating around in the Campaign Missions is a neat addition, but would be more fun with other folks if Campaign Matchmaking as I said many times already were to become reality, rather than doing it by yourself). Right now the Coop side of things is probably the weakest part of the collection (because of the netcode issues and lag) and probably the least played since you have to invite people directly and not everyone has a friend always wanting to play so playing with others that want to play campaign missions rather than trying to find and invite people would be more enjoyable I think.
