Campaign: Why can't you refill Energy Swords?

Um… yeah… I did? lmao

Yeah, just right then, and not earlier in the argument, so what is your point? You can refill swords and hammers in Infinite.

They should just let you refill at the stations. The stations have limited supply anyway. Its not like it’d give you a bottomless sniper.

I found it most annoying on the Cindershot. There’s so few forerunner weapons, while the gun is good it doesnt have the same oomph the rocket or sniper does.

That would be way too op. It’s a power weapon after all

My point was this is typical behavior in Halo campaign. There is nothing outrageous or unexpected about it.

I think the problem is it doesn’t feel consistent with the current game.

They added magic boxes that refill some weapons. But the game doesn’t accurately tell you why it can’t refill your current weapon.

That said, these magic boxes aren’t infinite ammo supplies, and there’s plenty of power weapons scattered across the map. I don’t see why making the magic boxes work on them would be over powered.

Because then you could run through the entire campaign with a power weapon. You have a more powerful weapon, that can be used with a nearly limitless refill. That would be a textbook example of something over powered.

You don’t get it at all. Weapon refill machines are divided by 4 types, and rare as it is. You are more likely to find multiple other power weapons before finding the correct refill machine. You can get infinite power weapons from a FOB and bring 5 Marines with you, all carrying the same or different power weapons, and they have unlimited ammo, or you can refill your own by swapping with them, and give them the emptier one, which will still be infinite ammo to an NPC. The balance of a very rare occuring recharge box refilling your power weapon is not game breaking, when you run into more power weapons almost everywhere you look. You probably haven’t even played the game.

Trying to argue it is not even an advantage, while evidencing it with the fact you find it an annoying disadvantage. Yeah… I haven’t even played the game. You caught me. I just come on a games forum to talk about games I don’t play. :ok_hand::sweat_smile:

It’s not a significant advantage, it literally just saves time fast travelling to a FOB and going to the next area. I can spawn unlimited power weapons and Wasps from any FOB. There’s no real reason to not be able to recharge power weapons, even if only a little bit. You save walking time, nothing else, or in my case, flying time, since I can spawn a Wasp whenever I want.

They really should make the FOB power weapons cost something. Maybe based on kill counts, like 50 kills you can “purchase” a power weapon. Or have an energy or resource currency on the map hidden in banished outposts and bases.

Edited my first comment to show that it’s possible to refill swords, just not from plasma-themed vending machines

It’s not just swords, it’s all “power” class weapons. Hammers, Rockets, Snipers, Skewers, Cindershots, etc. None of them can refill at a station due to all of them being power weapons.

This is how it’s been balanced for every Halo. They likely only changed it for MP because it makes more sense in that case.

I don’t think you know what I’m even talking about, because first you were talking about old Halo games, and old Energy Sword logic, and now you’re talking about balance in Multiplayer. I’m talking about the Halo Infinite Campaign. At this point I have a feeling you’re just trolling, or haven’t even played much of the campaign to understand the topic. Come back to the topic after you finish the Campaign, since it’s not very long, and see if you still think there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to refill Power Weapons and Variant Power Weapons, when you’re surrounded by them, and have an infinite supply at every FOB.

You can. All you have to do is walk on an energy sword on the ground

Talking about at Energy refill machines, especially the Duelist Variant that can only be refilled at a FOB. At least in Destiny you can find power ammo. You don’t have to teleport back to base and then run all the way back across the world back to where you were going to

Hmmm i do agree that it is off. Maybe an oversight ?

Possibly. I can’t imagine anyone honestly thinking getting a bit more power ammo out of a refill machine to be game breaking, when you’re surrounded by way more power weapons than you are refill machines. Variant weapons run out of ammo super fast, but variants and power variants can’t even be refilled with normal variant ammo, so it sucks having to constantly swap them after going all the way to base to get a new one.

I think you are too dense to even hold a conversation let alone follow one.
