campaign skepticism

I’m a little worried about Infinite’s campaign. Another open world Halo game? I’m not sure if it can live up to Halo 3: ODST’s legacy. The pvp multiplayer will be alright, 343 has proved themselves in the past and with the flight, but they still have not proved themselves when it comes to single player/co-op offerings. Why provide a release date and show no campaign whatsoever? What is really going on behind the scenes?

Campaign is supposed to be on the down low/off the radar. The anticipation of wanting to know how the story begins and ends is exactly what drives people to play it on launch.

Don’t forget they wanted to release the game one year ago lol

In the current situation skepticism in every aspect of Halo Infinite is totally fine and allowed. I wish to have an good Halo game but I don’t think that the developer will bring a complete satisfying game.

I’m also pretty concerned about how much they’ve been keeping the campaign under wraps. Especially with the focus on seasonal content for multiplayer…

It guarantees that the campaign will have somewhat insignificant consequences and that it will not resolve the major plot lines, since we know that more is coming.

Pretty weak for the 3rd game in what they originally called “The Reclaimer Trilogy.”

This is what I’ve been thinking the whole time.

It genuinely feels like 343 is trying to hide the campaign from everyone.
My personal theory is that they’ve been prioritizing the f2p multiplayer and microtransactions for the majority of the development process and have just left campaign on the back burner until about a year and a half ago and now they’re trying to rush out the campaign.

They aren’t hiding it. They are just polishing it instead of creating late dev cycle slices. This is why they stated they will show it when it’s closer to launch.

We’re gonna get something like when Destiny first came out. Bare bones story with like 4-5hrs of gameplay then we’ll have to buy expansions that 343 release later to get a better experience. It makes sense with the gamepass business model, players get the game free but then have to continue buying expansions in order to continue the experience.

I hope I’m wrong and 343 will release these expansions free.

I can’t wait to see what they do and im for sure going to be playing when it drops

Of all the things that could happen, a 4-5 campaign is so unlikely. 343 and Microsoft for that matter know how important this game is to Xbox. It can make mistakes but not that.
