When scoring in campaign instead of scoring all you get is a red 0. Why is this?
Been wondering about this too.
For me this usually starts happening when I have been playing the same level for quite some time.
Perhaps it’a just a time limit of sorts to prevent players from “playing it safe?”

It happens after you’re over par time, which in all honesty, is kinda backwards. After par time your score is negated, sadly; So, you’ve gotta go for the par time, WHILE getting the points.

If you turn Competitive Scoring on while playing campaign you will see the 3x multiplier when you start. After reaching the par time the multiplier will slowly start to go down until it reaches 1x which occurs after double the par time. At three times the par time the multiplier will turn to 0x and you will stop earning points resulting in the 0 scoring for each kill. Your score is not reset to 0 you just simply stop earning points after three times the par time.
To break it down for a level with a 15 minute par time:
0:00 - 15:00: 3x multiplier
15:00 - 30:00: 3x - 1x multiplier
30:00 - 45:00: 1x multiplier
45:00 - Infinity: 0x multiplier (Earn no additional points)
Thanks guys that’s helpful. I have been scoring on h3 but play it safe so get so far and stop scoring. Maybe I will try assaulting covies rather than sit back with long range br;)
Very helpful. Thanks for that breakdown. Working on Reach to earn par score achievements and wondered why this happened.
There are some really helpful guides on you tube for getting par scores, finally did CE T&R today, only got 4 left to go on ODST, some levels I just put on normal score rather than competitive score, and put timer on my phone so it was easier to keep track of real score without the multiplier
