I previously made a thread about this on the Bungie forums.
One of the more disappointing things about Campaign in Halo Reach is that unlike Firefight where we are rewarded for playing those games (even Score Attack), there is no incentive (outside of challenges) nor opportunities to play Campaign, progress commendations and reward. The closest we have is Co-op Campaign which:
-Outside of a (non-LASO) Weekly Challenge has a consistently low population.
-Prone to lag.
-No cR for commendations past Silver.
I can understand there being no cR’s earned “offline”, but why not online? AFAIK weren’t credit’s disabled from being earned with the Target Locator (if not possible, the TU could rectify that)? Also to prevent abuse of “dying and earning more credits”, it could be made so that when dying, you lose all “kill cR” recieved between a checkpoint and death.
I for one would very much like to see a “Campaign: Score Attack” mode available. The benefits of it would be:
-Giving Campaign more purpose (being able to compare scores.
-No lag
-cR’s being awarded to people
-Slightly higher reward depending on difficulty (with a limit obviously).
-A chance to progress those neglected commendations
-Obviously score competition against friends.
