Campaign save/checkpoint system is a joke and needs fixing

Finally beat Chak Lok on LASO, had the Griffin cutscene, it said mission completed, it said I started the excavation mission.

Drop down from the tower and start moving towards the next mission. Die in the open world. It reverts me to the Chak Lok fight again.

What the hell?

Did they actually test this game thoroughly before releasing it and if so how were these things not picked up and fixed?

You need to have full shields to get a checkpoint. Dunno if you’re doing LASO. But I tend to get checkpoints like crazy otherwise.

Ah, that’ll probably be it then. Bloody annoying though.

Just try and make sure your final kill is a melee or at least melee and take no damage before the kill.
