Campaign rewarding

hi guys!

I don’t know if this thread is already existing but here is my critic and new idea for campaign rewarding.

So I noticed that there is no real reward for playing the campaign except gamerpoints. So is that all? Yeah probably I got some emblems I have not recognized yet but is that all?

So why can’t we get some Req points for completing all 15 missions on different difficulties?

For example:

easy = 1000 points
normal = 1250 points
heroic = 5000 points
legendary = 10000 points

Laso = 50000 points

I think that everybody would start to replay campaign more often with that system.

What are your thoughts?

Wonderful idea. Dont see why they shouldn’t do it. I was sure id get some req points at the very least for completing the solo legendary campaign… Guess I was wrong.

I was also kinda shocked that I didn’t even got any armor pieces or for at least an golden visor…

I loved to play through reachs campaign to earn some XP.

Remember when achievements and gamer score was enough of a reward… Pepperidge farm’s does… :slight_smile:

I believe 343 said REQ points were a purely multiplayer thing, so I can’t really see this happening.

That’s stupid. My 5 year old loves halo. We were both crushed when we found out it didn’t have split screen. Now he has already beaten the campaign on easy however he wants to unlock new armor and open reqs. Unfortunately I cannot allow him to play online…kind of a bummer they didn’t do something similar to reach with this req system.

Or add a meta game with medals and scoring or scoring for speed runners (using skulls to multiply base score) with req points and campaign specific rewards. Or a firefight/ horde mode on warzone maps with 12 people and use of req cards.

Solo Legendary should be like, 30k, not 10. But I’d take anything over nothing.

Why not let him play online? Just put settings to mute

What about scoring and time measuring? I liked the system used in the mc collection. It also gives a motivation to replay it…

No offense but what purpose would unlocking the armor do then? Its not like he could get any use out of it.

That being said…Get him a gold req or two and then he will have some armor to wear in customs.

This game is as “brutal” in campaign as it is in mp… Nothing for kids under 12yr

i think it would be very soon with new achievements, i’m pretty sure

Or, y’know, you can just make a campaign good enough that people will replay it over and over without any incentive.

My how game development has changed.

yes your wright! For me it’s more than good enough to replay it. Just missing something.

For example:
Know we have a campaign mainly built for coop but no player searching.
There is no score to compete with others to see who’s the best in team… and so on.

p.s. H5 is my second favorite halo campaign right behind h3s.

That sounds like a excellent Idea, however I wonder how long the grind is to last for Rec points.

Tbh I don’t want him to bring the team down.

Hence the teen rating…he’s been watching me play halo since he was born. (I was actually in a mm game with my friends when my ex wife went into labor.) funny enough those friends were made playing halo and they still play to this day but have never met any of them.

I’m not even going to start on how barbaric that is. Guess Halo is > Life?
