Campaign requiring internet connection in solo

Looking at Josh’s tweet about all “multiplayer experiences” require the use of internet, even in solo, do you guys think that means campaign will also require internet connection in solo mode? Considering they’ve also been referring to campaign as a multiplayer/co-op experience?

how do you hear “all multiplayer experiences require the use of internet” and draw the conclusion that you need internet for SOLO campaign?

That was the purpose of the tweet. Especially if you look ahead at the replies.
Same way they kept answering, “Will Halo 5 have splitscreen?”
“All MP modes use full screen on dedicated servers including campaign, arena, and warzone.”

Lol.

Key word “MP Modes” He’s implying that the online co-op for Halo 5’s campaign will use dedicated servers. Playing by yourself will be running from your console, thus not having any need for dedicated servers.

Still… Yes or No answers would be nice.

No.

Do you have actual confirmation, or are you just assuming? Cause 343 are masters behind wordplay.
They refer to custom games, forge, campaign, etc. ALL as MP/Co-op modes all the time.

I’m looking for actual confirmation.

They would already have said it if it was online only. Otherwise they would make many people very angry. I don’t believe they’ll do the splitscreen episode twice.

Op i promise you that if h5 was like destiny ppl here, myself included, would rage quit halo. The fustration ppl feel about the lack of splitscreen would be insignificant in comparison.

Thankfull the answer is NO.

To be honest, I personally wouldn’t have a big problem with it if it they utilized the cloud. It would just suck if the internet went out or something.

Does anybody have actual confirmation, stated from 343i devs? Because yes, the logical answer would be “No, you don’t need to be connected to the internet.” But 343i can be surprising. Lol.

This thread is trying to be as misleading as the one that said that forge and customs will require an internet connection to play solo. That tweet says nothing about solo play requiring an internet connection. Let me reiterate for emphasis, that tweet SAYS NOTHING about solo play requiring an internet connection. So please, for the love of Halo, stop trying to cause dispute, anger, and complaints over an issue that is non-existent.

Looking for confirmation. Not trying to cause anything. But thanks for the contribution.

My point is that you are trying to get confirmation for an imagined issue. Even if unintentional, these kinds of threads attract those who want to create conflict. Also posting here about Halo 5’s features or lack thereof will never get you the answers you seek, and I just gave you the reason why.

You shouldn’t need an internet connection for campaign play solo… But as they have taken spilt screen away you will now need a internet connection for co op campaign game play.

If it specifically said multiplayer, then solo campaign does not count as it is not multiplayer but solo. Just means your buddies wont be able to drop in and out.

Splitscreen was also an “imagined issue.” Bottom line: looking for confirmation. Not trying to cause anything. I’ve tweeted but I’ve never had confirmation, so I’m reaching out to this community. Thanks.

This is definitely not a good place to look for confirmation haha. Nobody here will give you an answer to this, if they do, its a lie. Splitscreen was actually never an issue, it was an issue after 343 actually stated it was not in the game.

The best way to get an answer…

… is just to ask…

No solo will not require an internet connection unless you are doing co-op.

In this day and age everyone is expected to have the internet and access it.
