Unlike almost all of the comments, I actually haven’t had but 2 instances where the multiplayer didn’t work for me. Aside from some extended wait times now and then it has worked just fine.
The same can’t be said for the campaign…I’ve commented else where but I still can’t finish coop on H3 regret. We completed the entire game except for Regret because every time we defeat Regret, as soon as the cut scene goes to play, the screen goes white and kicks us back to the home page…I still have to experiment whether or not I can do it on solo and it finishes. As it is we can’t get the achievement (my friend doesn’t have the game and so can’t get the completion for the level without it…)
Instead I have tried finding the collectibles and skulls/terminals… The other day when I went to get the collectibles, but the Arbiter didn’t register, at first. I found all of them the night before, in the morning I was at the hospital for my clinical till about noon and then when returning home to watch netflix, all of a sudden the achievement appeared?
Tonight, while skull hunting, I am on H3 The Storm, got the skull…but the achievement AGAIN is not going through. Have grabbed the skull multiple times now and nothing…Sincerely hoping it is a glitch and goes through later…
With the campaign being, for me, and I know a lot of others, the meat and potatoes of what Halo is (honestly, multiplayer is the addition that builds on what the campaign establishes) it scares me for what all of this means for H5… I have played Halo since I first got it on the PC when it came out back in 03 (didn’t have an xbox yet to get CE on it). Never before now have I ever experienced issues and I have absolutely loved every game (though never really got into ODST much, aside from the H3 multiplayer). I beta tested reach and for better or worse, I plan to be on here every day once H5 beta testing opens. I really hope all the kinks and everything on the MCC get worked out because were everything working, bar none it is one of, if not the, best deals money can buy in a game right now.
