Any guesses on how the campagin will playout? What destroyed chiefs armor and visor? I say armor because in the beta we have mark vi scarred and in the trailer john iswearing the cloak and we can see his armor. I think a grenade or something blow up the right side of his armor.
I think there may be flashback mission where we play as a young master chief. Or the campaign will have 2 versions of missions. One you play as chief the other Locke, and as Locke we see the dead bodies ect that chief left in his path. (Or a simple cut scene) will chief get new armor? Can it be good without cortana?
Should be 11-15 missions this time around, what is chief after? All this for cortana? To save the universe Arbiter and Locke must find John? So much potential 343i dont mess this up.
His helmet was damaged in a fight with the Didact after he killed Team Black.
One of the Halo comics showed the Didact punching Chief in the face, which led to his visor breakingI think Chief’s armor being damaged is why shield don’t recharge when sprinting. The armor is not working properly
Considering what has previously managed to damage that armor, I’d say he, once again, fell from space. At least twice.

U do know in Halo Escalation (Halo Comic) that the Didact returned and cracked Master Chiefs visor by holding Master Chief in the air by his helmet , and then Master Chief finally killed him by putting Didact on an Halo Installation right before it was about to blow, then POOOF Didact dead.
Presumably John repaired his helmet befor leaving again. Some time during his debrief with Hood. So with that, again the question is what happens to damage his suit.

I haven’t read any of the comics so I might be wrong on this, but I think will be fighting the storm covenant, and they’ll be using forerunner tech

how will they put smartscope on a carbine? it doesn’t have a scope, sure they could do like the AR but wouldn’t that be kinda strange? but they can’t just have no precision weapons for the enemies in the campaign, so theirs 2 options, either the storm covenant is using light rifles, or their gonna bring back the needle rifle.
actually now that I think about it, how are they going to put SS on the plasma pistol? the shotgun? has 343 said anything about this?
I think Chief without asking is going after Halsey (least seen held by the Storm Covenant) in some hope that she can fix or remake Cortana along the way he will encounter Brutes, Flood, Prometheans, ext.
i think cortana is going to be gone for awhile. chief, i would imagine, is trying to avenge her death more than anything. halsey is smart enough to use juuel (spelling probably wrong) to get what she wants. i really home we see a lot of halsey in h5g but im not so sure that will happen.
anyone have any thoughts on jun coming Back as a potential bad guy? i think it would a hell of a wraparound on the story.

It does beg the question will some ONI be trying to kill Chief? Chief vs other Spartans sound good to me.
Honestly can the campaign still be great without guidance/chat from cortana? Chief doesnt talk much and surely won’t be talking to himself. If he doesn’t have anyone guiding him campaign may feel stell. Maybe the librarian or that other AI will be with him.
