Campaign or mm upon release?

So usually whenever a halo game releases i start camlajgn for a level, then mm for a few games then back and forth for a few levels, then proceed to finish the campaign from there. But since i played the beta for like 20ish hours im going to just play the campaign before heading back into mm.

Was just curious what everyone else plans on doing at midnight/when you get it

1.check armors and menus
2.whole campaign on heroic first
3.forge to check maps, vehicles, guns and other items
4.mm
5.whatever I feel like from now on.

Probably campaign

I always start with the campaign first. I’ll probably stop for a while and go into MM when i’ve played enough for the day though.

I usually start with multiplayer, then I play Campaign after a few hours.

Eh, I’ll do the first two missions then play mp. I don’t like to wait years and spend an eternity reading/making theories just to beat the campaign in one damn day.

if halo 4 and mcc are any indication campaign will be the only option day because 343i has yet to be able to deliver mp that works right away.

Halo 4 worked perfect for me.

Halo 4 was fine for me. There were a few bugs here and there, but matchmaking was spot on.

once iv finished with campiagn on legandary I go to MP.

I always jump in MP and play that all night to get my fix. Then the next day when I’m a little bit more calm I start campaign so I can fully immerse myself in it and absorb it all with careful detail ensuring not to miss a thing.

Probably what I always do with Halo.

  1. Get game at midnight.
  2. Install the game for 4 hours on my Xbox One.
  3. Set my sensitivity to 10, turn on subtitles, pick a control scheme.
  4. Look at the rest of the menus, like multiplayer customization and such (which sadly, I don’t think I’ll spend much time on in Halo 5)
  5. Jump in Forge mode, check out all the weapons and vehicles.
  6. Check out all MP maps.
  7. Play a game of match making.
  8. Go to sleep and have conflicting love/hate feelings about game.
  9. Start Legendary Campaign and make no progress.
  10. Get frustrated, shut the game off (cause I like to save MP until after I beat campaign)
  11. Give in and play MP.
  12. Come to the forums/reddit where I get barraged by two extremes (343 is terrible/343 is god)

I don’t play Multiplayer until I finish the Campaign.

  • Browse the menus- Check out some multiplayer maps on forge- Play with the new weapons on forge- Based of those forge games, basically edit some controls options- Play campaign on Normal for story- Multiplayer- Play Heroic Campaign / Firefight / SpartanOps- Multiplayer- Forge Maps- Minigames- Cycle of 8 9 and 10

Yep, pretty much!

  1. Marvel at menu music for five minutes
  2. Check Armory
  3. Check menu design
  4. Play with Forge, check on my beloved Warthog/check map selection
  5. Play Campaign, Get Feels
  6. MatchMaking when stuck/finished with Campaign

My order of operations goes like this:

  • check options for brightness, sensitivity, subtitles, and maybe even colorblindness ( if included).- Boot up Singleplayer for a normal run thought and check skulls- sit thought cutscenes and try not to die in a embarrassing way - at the end of the campaign, hopefully Jaw-dropped or full of WTF moments and surprises.- comtemplate the story and the implications for the Halo franchise.- then inspect forge and customs for options and weapon performance.- See armor customization - arena mulitplayer- stay glued for hours untill bed time.
  1. browse the menu
  2. listen to the menu soundtrack
  3. WHOLE campaign on normal
  4. More campaign on heroic and legendary solo
  5. More campaign with skulls on Legendary and even LASO
  6. More campaign with online friends on hard difficulties
  7. More campaign but this time… More exploration of the big scale world (As they promised for Halo 5)
  8. some multiplayer
  9. back to campaign

Pretty much like that. But i hit legendary 1st. Unless I have no time cause of work and college. Then just normal

Play through the campaign on normal for the story

Campaign. Achievement hunting. I also really hope they drop this “complete legendary solo” achievement bs they’ve been doing since Reach. I hate legendary without friends, its not fun, I shouldn’t be forced to do it just to fill my achievement ocd
