Campaign optimization issues or just weak hardware?

Now,
I’m well aware that my hardware have run its course.

A meager RTX2060 and Ryzen 5 2600 isn’t really something you expect to get amazing performance in modern games.

However I play the Multiplayer on High with Medium textures at a locked 60FPS, but in the campaign I have to play at a laughable low graphics preset with a barely stable 60fps.
(Mostly 60, sometimes drops to 58, in very intense situations it drops to 54).

I mean, I get it, my hardware is lacking but this just can’t be on my end, right?

I’m playing games like Modern Warfare, Warzone, Cold War, Forza Horizon 5 etc. on High-Ultra settings with (at the very least) a locked 60fps.
So this makes me think that there’s something wrong with the optimization of this game and not my hardware.
Oh, MW, WZ, CW and FH5 all have Raytracing enabled when I get above 60FPS.

Anyone else with a similar or better setup that are also having issues getting a solid 60fps?

I’m on a 3060ti, 11700k, 32gb ram. I can run it at high and get a stable 120fps. Idk about the AMD cpu, I’m not familiar with them, but that gpu should easily be able to run it on medium or high.

I get good frames but in BTB and the open world of the campaign I’ll have hitches and stutters once in a while

I’m locked at 144 fps And the only issues I have is sometimes I pick up a BR in the campaign and it’s buggy I zoom in and get stuck and it won’t shoot. Happens normally after I retrieve more ammunition for it after it was at zero.

Same problem (don’t put the space)

Without using dynamic resolution scaling, I am following Digital Foundry’s settings guide on a 3080 at 4k. I get wild fluctuations in framerate from 75-120 depending on the scene, even nearing 110 fps in the open world sometimes. I think there is severe optimization issues and that the way this open world was created never followed open world optimization techniques and they just made a really big Halo level lol. I sincerely hope they continue to touch up the open world optimization on both the CPU and GPU side of things. I honestly think they could get another 20% performance, with potentially nicer looking LODs and pop-in, if they dedicated another year to “remastering” Halo Infinite for next gen and include RT for Global Illumination + DLSS/XeSS.

Ryzen Cpus are the most up to date AMD CPU’s on the market his appears to be second gen i think

I have found that reducing settings such as terrain, ground cover, and geometry down from “Ultra” to “High” improves the open world experience but, to be honest, only slightly. It’s annoying to see that they went for an open map with such grand scope if they cannot optimize the open world streaming and LOD properly. If you’re in vehicle moving quickly through the world you are going to experience extreme stutter no matter what hardware you are on. I sincerely hope that as the team looks to remaster the campaign with the implementation of Ray Tracing that they also look to mitigate open world streaming through better optimizations in the geometry and perhaps even an implementation of DirectStorage on both the Series consoles and PC. I honestly think Skyrim at this point handles open world optimization better than Halo Infinite does and that game has a bigger map and is 10 years old.
