Campaign Network Co-Op Flight – Network Co-Op Feedback

I just had my first chance to play this morning, and by far the biggest issue I had were with my controller settings. I usually play via the Microsoft Store (gamepass ultimate), but with this I had to obviously use the steam installer. NBD… I was able to get all my sensitivies and deadzones set for my elite controller the same way I have them in the Microsoft Store version, but it behaves differently here. The first time I tried playing, the paddles didn’t work. I rebooted and tried again and now the paddles were registering, but I kept slowly moving to the right. I moved the move stick deadzone WAY up beyond what I have it set at in the Microsoft Store version, but it kept drifting. It seems to have finally stopped, but I had to turn it to maximum, which is just very weird. Plus, idk if this is a lag/jitter issue, but it just seems to get really twitch every now and then. Much harder keeping my reticule on target for headshots in this vs playing campaign or multiplayer on the MS store version.

Also, the jitter/rubber banding got really bad at times. I’ve never played with the person I played with before, so I don’t know if that was the issue, but it happened maybe once every 10 minutes, leading to us getting wiped out.

Also, the game froze on my once and I had to restart it.

Grabbing fusion coils makes them teleport to you on your partner’s screens. They just vanish and appear in their hands. Much more minor point.

Just release Forge in beta at this point. It’s clearly in a state of relatively good usability.

Acrescentem a caveira ferro para o cooperativo.

One feature that should be made available is the ability to tag things on the map as if this was a typical online multiplayer game. Although members of the team can see waypoints on the map, when you are trying to mark guns and other items, you do not have the ability to mark if for the other team members and would be helpful when trying to get the team to rally at a specific point or mark something on the map that is close.

I got an invite but my friend did not and i didnt get a friend invite code so i cant play!

I was playing co-op with a friend and during a marine squad rescue mission, we were blown up by a plasma grenade and died. when we respawned I could hear the fighting before the loading screen disappeared, and when it was done I was already dead in the middle of an active battle. I’m not sure what could have caused this bug but when I paused and restarted the mission everything was fine.

Let’s play this new beta. I’m ready

Yea mine’s the same way. I verified my email on halo insider on waypoint and i’ve got Halo insider installed and after that nothing happened. No further emails and flight never showed up in the Insider Hub.

Finished the campaign last night, doing two player with a buddy of mine the entire time. I know it’s a “flight,” but between general instability, game not loading after deaths quite often, and the very often annoyance of equipment switching being bugged (I spent probably about 25% of my total playthrough time not being able to switch equipment at different times), I have to say this is pretty ridiculous 343.

This is a mode that should have been out at launch and even 10 months later it’s barely playable. You guys need to stop worrying about getting your feelings hurt so much with feedback and have some accountability. If any one of us players were as bad at our jobs and meeting deadlines we would probably be fired overnight.

I sent these as tickets and I guess it is considered feedback.

Tutorials: Please give each party member their own tutorial screen. One might not be finished reading, but one player can end the tutorial before other players read up.

Death Notice: Please let surviving players have a notice that a player died like previous games. Half the time my partner and I didn’t know the other died in game, and sometimes they wouldn’t hear that we are dead.

hello playing the coop of Halo infinite I noticed this thing, when both me and my partner are killed we are sent back to the reload screen but the game freezes and you have to exit and re-enter to unlock it. the strange thing I noticed is that it only happens when we both die

hola, no me permite seleccionar misiones pasadas.

Really disappointed NPC marines only get in the host player’s vehicles by design. Sure, it may be overpowered to have 2+ razorbacks filled with marines carrying sentinel beams, but I feel like not allowing that takes away a bit from the fun sandbox that Halo is supposed to be.

If all players from the fireteam are dead, the game is loading and loading, but we dont respawn in the game. We had to restart the game for playing.
Everything other worked perfect!

add the iron skull to co-op and increase the game’s difficulty. playing with friends we need challenges or you run out of emotion.

When I first got to surface and unlocked the outpost I boarded the pelican but didn’t do tower and collected some valor. To clarify this was when I played solo, I then had to get off so I quit game When I was free I resumed campaign but I noticed that valor I got was gone cause I assume i had already started misson by boarding pelican I guess…so I tried it again after tower cause I thought there was a lull in between missions. (So far no big issues that need to be fixed And am still playing solo) so at this point I was starting to do coop with same person each time and while he hadn’t started campaign yet I was under impression that my valor that I gain via solo play would be available in coop, vice Versa if possible, but it wasn’t which is understandable at that point since game just started but later on when we did tower and had resumed campaign none of my valor was added to the coop save from my solo save. I was under impression that would happen if I misunderstood then I hope u add that because if I am being completely honest it’s hard to do a game where you have to spend hours building up valor only on that save when some of the funniest moments I have had on coop are though the main campaign mission scenes and lines. I also wanted to say on a smaller note that the ai doesn’t want to get in my coop players vehicles when I am in one unless I am in the one there driving or riding in/on. Nevertheless it’s a great game regardless my only complaint is the valor thing

I have enjoyed this flight a lot. I cannot wait for it be added to the game. I enjoy the fact I and my team can equip any weapon we have unlocked and go to replay mission and go through that mission with said weapon. Did encounter a bug where if you have any of the swords or hammers and you go to the cutscene on first mission Warship Gbraakon and you got the brute tearing off the door. If you have the any of swords or hammers Chief’s left arm is inside his body.(I have created a bug ticket for it).

I like the fact we can go back to FOB or start another mission even when we are in the middle of a mission. When it comes to going back to the FOB, I am disappointed that when we go to resume the mission it starts at the beginning of the mission and not where I left. Also I miss the option of restart from last check point.

I love the database of audio logs, targets, FOB and such. However I would like the target database to give detailed info on the weapon we gain from defeating said target. I would say give use a database for the weapons and vehicles. Cause not knowing what weapons like Pinpoint Needler do unless I look online is a little annoying.

Like being able to select which skulls and level difficult when selecting mission replay is awesome. I also love the fact that at the end of the mission it ask if you want to continue to the next. Though I wish there was a option to change the difficulty while playing in the open world. Right now you have to select a mission to replay and select the difficulty and then exit the mission to change the difficulty and skulls for the open world.

Noticed that player collision wasn’t there. It has been a vital part of co-op in the past and I believe it would be in Halo Infinite. It’s a core feature of Halo. Not sure on the decision to not have it. Even having it as a toggle setting for the host to enable would be great. Particularly for having fun, messing around and finding easter eggs and skulls. Having it on would have getting the skull in the second mission a little easier.

The ping system was a epic addition for multiplayer in Halo infinite. And is something that coop campaign would really benefit from, particularly in more open encounters. Obviously the flashlight takes the place of the ping control on controller. This could be solved by press up on d-pad for ping, hold up to toggle flashlight. Doing markers on the map are great, but limited. A ping option also helps when fireteam members don’t have a mic or don’t have a working mic.

Keeping weapons on after death. I would love for it to be at least a toggle setting. Yes it’s beneficial sometimes to keep your weapons on death. However like in previous Halos you just need to find your body. I also feel it takes some of the challenge out a bit though. Can just charge in, die and not worry. Also it is useful when your teammate dies with a power weapon, you can pick up said weapon and clear the area, so you buddy/buddies can spawn in. On that note in the survey I like the idea of spawning shortly after death despite my team mates being in battle.

Spectating is great, but I am not a fan of the fixed camera. It is so limiting and frustrating. Especially if you want a better view of the action. Would rather see it function like the likes of Halo 3. Where it is over the shoulder but upon moving the stick, switches to aerial cam. Click stick to reset to a teammate. Would also like to see this apply to multiplayer.

Increase the tether range or get rid of it. For it being open world it still feels entirely too restrictive. I would love to have the ability to when we lose our Marines to have one or more go back to the nearest FOB to get reinforcements. Also it doesn’t allow for pincher movements without starting a fight with the enemy. I would love to be able to get in position and then hit them all at once from two to four different sides. The 1000 m seemed to limit us and trying to stay in that 1000 m we would alert the enemy and not everyone was in position.

Increase the number of save slots or have a single player save slots(4) and co-op save slots(4).
Give more enemies on patrol or bigger patrols. The number of enemies feels small. If you keep them the same size give them a even bigger increase in health and damage.
Would love to be able to call in Banish vehicles. Also need the Hornet or Falcon to return. Also where is Gauss Warthog?

Marine NPC should be allow to drive vehicles and follow you in said vehicle/vehicles. Wish they would allow the Marines to hop on the side of the scorpion tank. I did create a support ticket for it and got that was their intent. Which is like why 343, that has been a stander thing since Halo CE. Not having it in Halo Infinite is a big let down. Also, PLEASE allow ALL players driving a vehicle to be able to get marine NPC passengers. Currently the NPCs will only board the hosts vehicle. With 2-4 teammates the mayhem you could cause with a fully crewed warthogs would be awesome. As well have so many different combinations.

Would like to see more skulls return, we do have a vast open world to hide them. I would also like to have save squads or take out targets random pop up. Just to have a something to do after completing the campaign.

Overall I really enjoy the Co-Op flight. Glad it’s finally coming to Halo Infinite.

NPCs should be able to jump in anyone’s vehicle.

A buddy and I played through on heroic, myself on a Series S and him on an original Xbox One.

Overall we had a blast, between goofing off in the open world and working together tactically to take on challenges, it was a wonderful Halo experience!

The issues we came across were,
-reloading to a checkpoint upon death frequently caused a perpetual loading screen, we both had to hard reset the game.
-occasionally, neither of us were able to switch to a different armor equipment. This mostly happened during indoor levels, I don’t recall having the issue in the open world. Upon trying to switch with the d-pad, the grenade selection menu would open however any further input had no effect.

My biggest personal request/gripe would be the ability for marines to saddle up into other player vehicles. I understand the limitations, however allowing at least one marine per guest player would make for some epic encounters if possible!

Aside from that, it was a ton of fun! The forge leaks look incredible too, I cannot wait for the beta!
