So I started playing campaign yesterday, went against my “not buying it until I’m happy with MP” and switched to “I’m getting it on game pass using Microsoft Points so I can avoid MP for a while before I get put into a straight jacket”.
It sounds amazing, looks good, plays well and I’m not a lore guy so I’ll leave the story criticisms for people that know what they’re talking about.
One thing that I noticed was regarding collision.
In training mode - there’s definitely friendly player collision off and enemy collision on proven by me here (it’s the same video I’ve posted before, sorry it’s boring but it proves the point)

In MM there’s definitely no collision, if there is and it’s glitching, that some people say, then it’s glitching so hard that when a group of 12 of us attempted to match in MM on opposing teams, succeeded and spent the whole match walking through each other, it ‘glitched’ so much we phased for the entire game continuously, so I believe it’s off intentionally.
In MM, we’ve all established just about everyone wants collision on for enemies and the vast majority want it on for friendlies too.
The only argument for friendlies to be off in MM, is those annoying teammates than run in front of you and stop or generally get in the way when you’re pulling flag etc.
Campaign has shown me, the collision there is perfect for MM. I’ve not phased through anyone and not had any awkward melees but the collision is done in such a way that you usually slide past teammates rather than receive whiplash when you slowly bump into them.
Using equipment, particularly grapple, and colliding with teammates still produces a soft slide past rather than thumping into them.
In addition, if you’re feeling psychotic you can still easily push them off the map and hear them scream.
Do this soft, rounded, non annoying, easy to fix, fixes (well, significantly improves) melee too, keeps everyone happy system you’ve done in campaign - do it!
