campaign matchmaking.

Would other people like to see this feature to return? Just messing around in a familiar mode with randoms.
Also, do you think it is more or less likely to be a feature in infinite?

I don’t really see this returning to be honest. It was removed because nobody was really making use of it enough to warrant the resources for putting it in other games, along with the usual people AFKing and general trolling which didn’t help. We’ve got loads of LFG sites these day, Discord, etc. so finding someone to run with shouldn’t be too hard

I think with the return of split screen there won’t be a need for this. Also if SC return, those always make it easy to find players.

Its definitely easy to find peoople to play with but other options dont really have the real randomness to it neither are those as quick as matchmaking.

Though I definitely see as to why its not likely to return and I remember it being rather lightly populated, to say nicely.

And I never really saw as to why matchmaking would be the place to look for people if the one searching wanted a serious game. Also such side effects are an aspect of every online mode, really dont see as to why trolling or AFKing would have to be separately mentioned.

I personally wouldn’t use it but I don’t see why not to have it. I don’t think they’d actually add it though.

Yeah, its possibly the usual resource management like mentioned above, not enough players when compared to the time and resources it takes to make such feature.

I could see that. I’d figure if anyone wanted to play campaign co-op it’d be with people they know.

I enjoyed having this in Halo Reach, especially when we went to New Alexandria so I could show people the silly easter eggs. If Halo Infinite has AI in forge and a customs browser, it would be kinda sorta close to the same thing, since we’d be able to re-create campaign levels and play them with random people. I’d rather have that, but both would be cool.

I remember doing that too, the secret room in the package too.

But random custom browser would be sufficient for acquiring randomness in a time of such need.
