Have you ever been playing campaign and thought “Hey, this part would make a nice MP map”? Well, tell me your ideas here! If I really like any of them I’ll forge it and put it on my file share!
Great idea. The missile launch pad could have potential, and I’d say the crash-landing site if it hadn’t already been mimicked in the Wreckage DLC.
Reach did a good job of this - many campaign maps were reusable as firefight or invasion maps, and a few were matchmaking as well. I think its a great way to make quality maps while also saving on development effort. I hope they do more of this in Halo 5, assuming it is all quality.
The launch pad was what I was thinking! I’d put a second missle control room on the other side and they could be used as bases in BTB.
I’d say most areas in Campaign would make for great environments in Spartan Ops. It’s a shame because chances are very slim that we will get a Season 2. When I play through the Campaign, I wonder, “Wow, this looks incredible! I wonder how much time 343 put into this.” There are too many good-looking and awesome areas in the Campaign that have just been disposed of after a few Campaign moments. 343i put hard work and lots of time into these areas, so they should bring back most of them into other playable modes. Bungie took advantage of the areas they had by reusing them in Campaign, i.e. Combat Evolved and Halo 3 made you go through the same areas again.
As for multiplayer, I can’t imagine these campaign areas playing well in War Games. I’d more like to see them in Spartan Ops.

I would hope they would make season two at least, calling it season one then nothing after would make them seem silly. Just make it way better than it was.
How about the area on “Requiem” where you square off against the zealot? Or the Cartographer facility?
I’d say the wide open area just out side of the crash site would be a great place for vehicle warfare or even a race track.
I’d also love to see the entire first level, the inside of Forward Onto Dawn as a multiplayer map. It would be great for close quarters combat. The bridge and cryo chambers could be spawn points.
Many of the Spartan Ops Season One levels would make great multi-player maps. At least then they would get some use! That big open area where you board the Lich would be a great vehicle combat level.
Something else I thought of was the Gateway, it would make a pretty decent SWAT/BTB map IMO.

That would be very interesting. See, there are so many areas with great potential!

What do you think about my idea? Is it plausible? Would you be for this to be implemented into the game?
Also, if at all possible, take out the 10sec kill barriers on Forge Island. Replace the boundaries with invisible walls or something. Perhaps add Pelicans to the Forge palette list- the map is definitely big enough for two.

I’ve already forged Quarry, Fortress, and Gate. They’re in my file share. Though I’ve run into a bit of a roadblock with Refuge though, scaling’s all messed up.
Fortress, Refuge, Cauldron, Warrens, Apex, and Harvester would be the only maps really optimized for PvP though. The rest would be for custom games/machinima.

You i couldnt agree more with you guys. I’ve constantly thought the same thing with the maps in Spartan Ops. Im like dude these should be mutliplayer maps. Theyd make great maps!
The Spartan Ops environments would make fantastic multiplayer maps, but considering We cant even play the DLC we’ve got now, it won’t happen. But if it were an ideal world, yeah man, it would be nice.
