I don’t know about everyone else but I’m tired of all the Multiplayer Hate threads. I mean people are talking about boycotting the game because it has something they don’t want or it doesn’t have something they do want. Don’t get me wrong, it’s your choice if you don’t want to buy the game and no one is going to stop you but come on now. Take a chill pill. Halo is more than just a Multiplayer game and no matter how Halo 4’s Multiplayer turns out, I’m still buying the game because I know it’s going to have one of the most epic campaigns a FPS can have.
I mean all this talk of “It’s a Call of Duty Clone” is nonsense because Call of Duty doesn’t have a Campaign that even comes close to touching Halo’s level of epicness. It just doesn’t have a universe which people care to explore and learn about beyond the game itself. Halo gets people to actually put down the controller and pick up a book and read. To be perfectly honest with you, if Halo never returned again as a video game I wouldn’t mind just as long it continued to grow with more novels, comics, tv shows or movies. Being a playable video game is just a bonus at this point but I would continue to be drawn into the universe no matter what media form chosen.
People can still cry and moan over Multiplayer all they want but I was sold the moment John-117 emerged from that Cryotube and reassured a frightened Cortana “I’m here.” So who else is with me? How many of you out there care more about this amazing Sci-fi Epic than shooting and tea bagging a bunch of 12 year olds on Xbox Live?
Long live Halo, Long live John-117!
