LAN connection stuttering and lagging more so than an XBL co op game, ethernet cable doesnt allow mates to join a lobby and LAN via a router makes it unplayable.
Hey can you give some more details? Which scenarios have you tried? Remember that if you connect via an ethernet cable, you’ll need to set the IP addresses manually in the Xbox One network settings.
If you use a router, you should be able to change your network to LAN, then are you saying that there is stuttering while playing the campaign on LAN?

Me and a mate had just tried each of the campaigns over a WLAN connection with the 2 xboxs being next to the router.

Ahhhh we did try a cable but saw both the xbox’s had an IP address already there with a gateway and dns address. I’ll try do a manual one next time we get together.

From what we tried yes there was very bad input lag from the xbox not hosting the session as if playing from another region on bad net.
I’ll try your suggestions soon, thanks for helping fam!
