I decided to try to beat the Halo 4 Campaign on Legendary after learning about its rewards(mainly the armor + visor), so I beat the first 3 missons on Legendary and then I reached the Infinity Misson(I think) and whenever I tried to load the mission, it says “missing downloadable content, cannot load.” or something like that. I did some research earlier and I saw a few players who had the same issue and their solutions. I cleared my system cache for halo 4 and cleared it from my xbox. I reinstalled it and reinstalled all the content from the second disc and the issue will still there. I also saw that players who bought another copy of halo 4 had their issue fixed, but I wish to avoid that. I also don’t want to clear my system cache because I purchased the Champion’s Bundle and I wasn’t sure if I would have to repurchase it if I cleared the cache again. Any help?
While I have never heard of this problem but if your account was the one to purchase the Champions Bundle through the Xbox Live store you can just redownload it from your purchase history.
If you are still experiencing this issue, even after reinstalling the campaign disc, then it does indeed appear to be a disc issue. Check the disc thoroughly for any dirt or damage that could be causing a load failure.
Alright, I will try to clean the disc, it is pretty old since I got the game in 2012. I will let you know if it works.
Also something odd, I can load the mission on any other difficulty except Legendary, which is inconvenient. I had a similar issue in Black Ops, where I scratched the disc, which disabled some multiplayer maps and all of Zombies. Thanks for the suggestion.
I had a friend a while back that had this happen to him because of a scratch on his disc. I trustingly let him borrow my near perfect disc and let him download it to it his HDD. It fixed his problem and he was able to play again.
Find a friend with Halo 4 (or rent it from a local place) and download his copy of the game to your HDD. Good luck!
