After I die 3 times in a checkpoint on Heroic, it resets my back to the VERY beginning of the level. Is it suppose to be like this to add an extra challenge? Or is my copy just weird? It’s done this twice now.
EDIT: My problem is getting sent back to the very beginning regardless of how far I am. Both times I was about %50-%75 done with the stage, and had to go back to the very start.
The very beginning? This didn’t happen to me.
I received a checkpoint just as a plasma grenade was exploding on me, so I was in a death loop. However after around 5-7 times it started me back at the checkpoint before the latest one… Not the very beginning.
I see it as a pretty cool feature, if it works as intended.

Yeah I know that. But I don’t go back a checkpoint, I go back to the very start of the stage.
For example I’m at the
(Spoiler maybe?)
Third Mission and I just took out the first Jammer (?), and died 3 times on the second one fighting Promethans and Covenenant, and I want straight back to the very beginning. Pretty annoying having to re-do half the stage.
And this is why I want the 5 times death revert to second last checkpoint as an option instead of a silly hidden mechanic that can be inconvenient.
