I just completed the campaign on Legendary! I am really happy with what 343 did with campaign and I think it’s probably the best one, maybe tied with Halo: CE. Yeah, multiplayer needs updating and patching, and I’m hopeful issues will be fixed, but 343 really outdid themselves with the story. Unlocking Chief’s Mk. VI armor was super satisfying and made the 60 bucks I paid worth it. In regards to multiplayer, we just gotta be patient. The fully patched/updated version of Reach’s multiplayer is actually not that bad, but when the game first came out it was terrible. It was the same with Halo 2. I think Halo 4’s multiplayer has the potential to become truly great, especially if they bring back old maps. Until things get fixed, we just need to be patient… I have a feeling the people at 343i know what their doing.

#1 They can’t bring back the old maps because they added sprint YOINK-wit.
That means No lockout, Midship, Ivory Tower or Ascensin unless they make the maps Obscenly big.
#2 Campaign is the worst out of any of them Storywise. The Pacing is Horrible. Missions Are constantly Anti-Climatic. Missions involve MasterChief runnning around putting His USB Drive with cortana into 10,00 forerunner phonebooths. Presentation of the Leprosy Infected Covenant SUCKS. Last Mission SUCKS. Character Development is Inconsistent with past games and is all over the map.
#3 I feel sorry for the Artists. They did an AMAZING job only to have their work squandered by poor production Manager choices and stale level layout.
#4 Ending was worse than Halo 2’s ending. ( not counting the cinematic. The cinematic was ok although it really didnt fit into the story well to end it that way. It was actually kinda boring. )
#5 Cinematics were boring despite having incredible MO CAP and Graphics and facial Modelling.
I personally enjoyed the story too. My favorite so far, Halo CE and Reach being close behind. Its great that the Halo 4 storyline line melds well with the rest of the non game fiction. Given the chance, you should check the books out. Provides a clearer perspective of the plot.

Do you really have to come in here and rain on this guys parade? just because you didn’t like it doesn’t mean that you have to go around telling everyone that did that they are wrong.
I for one loved the campaign, definitely a worthy addition to the Halo storyline.
Of course they can add the old maps. You know what sprinting means in a small map? You’re dead without hurting the enemy. You can easily get off 3-4 shots in the time it takes someone sprinting to so much as bring their weapon up, they’re by far the easiest to kill and you take the least damage doing so. Anyone trying to sprint on those small maps would be asking for a horrible K/D. Even on objectives, being shot slows you down enough that they would go down without a fight.
