Did you install the second disc? Or just play with the first disc? There’s 2 in the box. You need both to play the game properly. I believe the second disc contains important data to enable playing multiplayer but it may also contain data for the campaign.

I’ve been having a similar problem. I have the second disk installed but every time I try to play mission 2 I just get kicked back to the title screen.
