Just in case anyone hasn’t noticed. This campaign has quite a resemblance to the previous trilogy. Fact that proves this:
In Halo 2, Master Chief gets new armor.
Halo 4’s epilouge shows Master Chief’s armor being taken off (inferring that he will be updated with new armor for the Spartan IV program.)
Halo 5, being the Halo 2 of the new trilogy will show Master Chief with new armor.
From this fact, I predict many things that we have yet to find out.
*Arbiter returns in Halo 5.
*In Halo 6, many important characters die such as Commander Palmer and Commander Lasky. However, I predict that Del Rio will not die (I’m not sure why… just a feeling.)
*At the end of Halo 6, Master Chief supposedly dies, but doesn’t.
*The Flood returns… somehow. They couldn’t have died that easily.
*The Didact returns. Someone with Darth Vader powers cannot die that easily.
If you have any predictions, let me know by replying to this thread!

He could simply be just taking off his armour after a long time with having it on. He is Human after all.

Lasky? As in the main character in FuD? Why not. They killed off Cortana.

They hardly left any indications of a new series. Only when the marines landed and they were scanning some type of debris. Maybe Didacts collision when he fell to Earth? There were some light particles (reminds me of the effect you get after a Plasma grenade detonates) around the debris hole/area. So possibly Didact makes a return. Since it is the Forerunner Trilogy, we can assume otherwise.
Oh and I forgot to add, Campaign has a pattern. It’s called “Let’s act like Bungie with a lot of Vehicle runs. Let’s put Cortana in a USB drive (everywhere has them, no matter the location), shoot some bad guys, flip 3 switches, grab Cortana and backtrack. Make sure we imitate Bungie’s way of crashing a vehicle Chief is driving but let’s do it more then 3 times. Let’s destroy the Warthogs image and rip the sounds from the Plasma Launcher to use with the Plasma grenade”

Master Chief get’s amor updates all the time, it just happens. In many games he has updated, he is already on Mark VI.
Lasky is a Captain…
Arbiter is pretty busy with a ciil war, for all we know he will die in the next Kilo-Five book. If not, maybe he will be back.
Trust me, the Flood isn’t dead. I think anybody who has really looked into Halo lore will assume the Flood is still alive without hesitation.
As for predictions…Bornstellar Didact making an appearance. Cortana is still alive. We get to see Kelly, Linda, and Fred. Halsey meets John again.
So in Halo 5 343i put in 18 levels, don’t finish them, scrap their E3 trailer and then piss EVERYBODY off with a cliffhanger ending (albeit with a badass line)
His armor coming off at the end of the game was to set a more human tone for the chief. I doubt it has anything to do with them having plans to change his armor again (he just received a fairly large face lift for this installment)
Here’s a far stretch but would be awesome. If you read “The Flood” book, Guilty Spark makes the comment that Chief’s armor is completely outdated… Chief says the idea of armor that was 10x more powerful would be amazing…
Infinity is made with Forerunner parts… Perhaps they found some forerunner armor for Chief?

don’t you love how the Cortana USB fits right into the forerunner tech ?
They must have put out some USB to forerunner hub adaptors ASAP…
Althought I did remember seeing stuff like that in HAlO CE, and HAlo 2 at least then it was kind of excusable.
By 2012 you would think there would at least maybe be a little more plausibility or an explanation…
The Halo 4 story was structured like the one in Halo CE.
The ship randomly ends up in a Forerunner structure, the Covenant are there already, a fight starts while everyone is moving around trying to figure the tech.
So if this pattern holds then Halo 5 will include more Covenant like Halo 2 did.
Cortana’s an AI and all AI or easily transferable.Cortanas in particular is on a chip chief plugs into his head. Though because she was made with Halsey’s Tissue she is special. (Why she lasted as long as she did without rampancy.) While I do agree just plugging her in was convenient, it was something bungie established. And that is what 343 was demonstrating with this game. We will prove to you we can stick to the formula like bungie while updating certain aspects and then we will give you our version. AKA. Halo 5.
Wait, people are seriously complaining about how Cortana can magically jack into any Forerunner tech? You mean that thing she’s been able to do since the first game?

If it wasn’t that way you’d complain that it isn’t a halo campaign because it doesn’t have the same style.
