Campaign gameplay!

I feel like they should ad classic and “reach” mode to the campaign, “reach” mode would have reach engine (game and weapons behave just like reach) and looks, and classic would be what they have shown so far.

I think they should do so, what do you think?

please pm me back.

You mean to Anniversary? sorry but it runs on the old CE engine so it would be impossible to modify it to play like Reach

Since they have both engines separately and they have blended them together, shouldn’t they also be able to keep and run Reach engine separately? even in campaign?, The choice would be made before mission lunch of course, if you use blend or reach.

You know that they’re not using the Reach engine for the single player of Halo Anniversary, right?

That’s why the OP suggested they should have a “Reach mode” in Anniversary; to make up for that loss of a beautiful engine. What the OP is trying to say is this: Recreate Combat Evolved in the Reach engine and add it to Anniversary

Well they don’t even had the Reach graphics engine, it is a brand new one.

If I had the option to play in the Reach engine and not forced then yes I would give it go, but that would lengthen the dev time. The team would have to rework the AI and such.

But not a bad idea

but to fix that they could simply go along as they intended, and then launch a massive free update that would ad reach engine.

NO. Just. No… facepalm :\

You can’t add a new engine in a TU.

That is currently impossible, OP. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary does not use (nor even has on the physical disk) the Halo: Reach engine, except for the multiplayer aspect. Creating your “Reach Mode” would actually mean going in and recreating the entire Halo: CE campaign from scratch by making new Campaign maps, creating new models, new weapons, rewriting the physics, etc. This process would take up around a year or two at least to complete, so it would not make the release date, and actually updating the game with this would be impossible. You could probably have this as (very expensive) DLC, but the download speed would be as fast as downloading a game from Games On Demand due to this DLC’s improbable size.

No

would it be possible then to perhaps before mission launch choose between classic and the multiplayer physics, no change to the AI behaviour or anything like that.
