Does anyone else experience that the enemies in the campaign move weird? it looks like they move on a slower fps rate than the rest of the game?
Yes, at a certain distance enemies are animated at 30 fps. It’s one of the many sacrifices made to keep Halo 5 running at 60 fps on Xbox hardware.

A “certain distance” - seems it happens at 10 metres. I thought it was just to make the prometheans look more… prometheany? Then I noticed it applies to literally everyone. Easy to get used to, but I can’t help but feel like I’m looking at sprites from some old PC game, aha.

hmmm that’s a letdown to me, because it really looks very awkward to be honest.

Yes, there’s a very short LoD distance as well. And if you played the awful PC port of Halo CE the same thing happened there.
I hate it. On the one hand dithering, pop in, low quality textures and normal maps, animation issues and narrow LoD and shadow distance really bothers me. Killzone Shadowfall has incredible graphics and has none of these problems (speaking of campaign only ).
However, all of this (as well as the low resolution) is in order to keep 60 fps. That’s one of the reasons I switched over to Halo from Destiny. (60 fps and unbalanced PvP in Destiny) I know the Xbox One has very unremarkable hardware so these sacrifices are necessary, I just hope the thrill of 60 fps arena will take my mind off of the low resolution and poor graphics.
For the record I own all 3 “next-gen” consoles and a custom built gaming PC. So you could consider me a “graphics -Yoink!-” but I’m just as much a performance -Yoink!- as well.
It is stupid. I feel like I’m playing a 90s arcade game. It takes away from the feeling of the game. I would rather have the lag.

I think they should have went with better graphics and an unlocked framerate for campaign and sacrificed graphics in multiplayer to keep 60 fps.

I have to agree, on Multiplayer (with long LOS maps) it’s very noticeable and I can’t help but notice it now.

so why is this only in campaign and not in multiplayer?

More things going on in campaign I guess (number of ai on the screen.) Does it happen in Warzone?

I haven’t played yet but I don’t think so. Thanks for the infos
alright I just played warzone and it seems to have the same issue

The reason it looks so weird is because enemy position is still updated at 60fps even if their animation is 30fps

is there any way they can fix this

Agree.
They better do a patch or something, cause it really urks me and I can’t stand it.
There were times when I thought I was watching a stop motion Christmas special.
I feel let down by this issue. I thought something was wrong when the crawler’s moved about half speed. I just can find my self getting into the game at all. Even more of a let down seeing how I got the limited edition.
I kinda saw this coming. When you watch the first warzone video they published you could see the spartans low framerate movement (especially on the legs + almost every gameplay video shown before launch you could see this). I tho since it was still on development they wouldve fix it and now that i got the gamr well it kinda bothers me… This would be ok if you see it if your playing on split screen, they it would be ok, but if your playing solo this shouldnt happen and theres no splitscreen so…? I just hope they can fix it overall its a good game.
