Campaign DLC

I’ve recently heard about gears 3’s campaign DLC (link if you haven’t seen it: http://epicgames.com/community/2011/10/gears-of-war-3-raam’s-shadow-game-add-on-coming-dec-13th/ ). You’re playing as a different squad/character, and the time is set in the past. This seems like a great idea, and is rarely seen in multiplayer prioritised shooters.

Seeing that halo has an extremely rich and vast universe, why not do that with halo?

It doesn’t necessarily need to take place at the same time period/environment as halo 4 is taking place in. It could be about anything.

Books and graphic novels expand the universe very well, but considering this is a game series, I’d like to see some real story and expansion in the game itself. And seeing the campaigns as being very short (8-10 hours only), I’d really like to see it as a distinct mode like multiplayer, instead of a bonus that you play once, then quit.

Anyone agree?

I would like to see the conflicts on Harvest. Halo Wars touched on that, but not so much. So yes, DLC Campaigns outside of MC’s story is agreed by me.

Great idea, I think many people’d appreciate it if they did.

OMg. I have been wanting this since Halo 1.

It would be great to download whole 9 mission campaigns based around other fiction i the halo unvierse.

imagine being grey team and then switching over to blue team on Onyx for awhile.

there is a lot of potential

Yes, this exactly. I hope we a boat load of goodies with Halo 4. Its going to be a loong year.

No, why would anyone support DLC?

Why don´t they just make different campaigns in the release version, they can, they don´t need to charge for it.

You people are killing videogames.

I don’t like DLC but in a year or so I’ll want a new campaign to play or something.

Maybe a side story that includes some missing part of the full game.

I don’t think you understand what I’m suggesting. DLC to me is content made after release, not content that was made before release and put on the marketplace later on.

Let the developers make their game, and the campaign DLC (that I’m suggesting) is stuff that isn’t directly relevant to the game, that was planned and made after release.

It’ll be fun to do side mission for DLC and learn a little more about the new trilogy.
