Campaign DLC - What should it be?

So I’ve been daydreaming a little bit about Halo Infinite potential of more DLC.
The trilogy 343I now has created and are officially a trilogy, I personally think that the ending of Infinite is not a good enough ending for the trilogy.
A trilogy is about all games connecting to each other with elements repeating itself in all three games.
In Halo 4 we got Janus Key, Jul M’dma and his faction, Palmer, Lasky, the Spartan Ops fireteams, Didact, Prometheans and the librarian to mentions some characters.
This was new character introduced to the trilogy.
Halo 5 welcomed back Buck and Arbiter, showed Blue Team from the books and introduced Osiris, the built on the prometheans and Didact and Jul M’dma was killed off poorly.
The aftermath of those enemies should still have an affect on Infinite aswell as the inteoduction of the created.
But in Infinite, the didact, jul m’mdma and his faction, the created and the janus key. Many ogher characters like Arbiter, Locke, Palmer and Lasky, just ignored.
So I think personally that the first DLC needs to be about all the characters and stuff that was left behind in H4 and H5 be about the ignored characters.
Because when they introduced them, they should build on them and make them better.
Not just ignore them.

And after the first DLC, they should give us a taste of the Endless before they eventually produce a new game or trilogy about the endless as a main enemy through at least three future games.
And it would also make sense to make a ODST 2 game about the fight between the created to clear the story we just get to taste in Infinite.

What do you guys think? What type of DLC does Infinite need before they make a new Halo game?

Infinite is more of a spiritual reboot, after h5 some things are best left out.

Although… Lasky should come back. maybe for example dlc where odst’s get lanky off Infinity and land on ring in a snow area before meeting up with 117 and then the endless.

It would be cool to have some kind of banished banshee production yard in the sky that could maybe board, many idea’s and possibilities

Something that introduce more than 1 faction

They should also flesh out the endless. So far they are trying to make us believe that the endless were secretly the greatest threat all along and the flood was almost nothing compared to it, like wut mate? How can surviving an halo array make you more dangerous than a multicellular organism that consume everything and not only learn and use your own technology against you, but outsmart you no matter how intelligent you are?

If they are that much of a threat then prove it. Don’t tell us what happened, show it, demonstrate it both in gameplay and cutscenes (343 have a tendency to tell instead of showing)

MINI-CAMPAIGN ONE - THE GLADIATOR

Play as Spartan Samuel Clarke, a Spartan IV that was captured by The Banished along with the rest of his team. For their own amusement and to test the mettle of their captors, Atriox and Escharum had Spartan Fireteams Raven, Phoenix, and Pendragon were then put into an endless arena onslaught. Those that survived long enough would be given a choice - surrender and join the Banished or continue this endless firefight to the death.
Those few that survived long enough often refused the offer.
Others not much so.
Of the twelve spartans, only three remained. Fireteam Raven was entirely lost.
Spartan Isaac Wellman and Spartan Elliot Winters of Fireteam Pendragon survived.
Spartan Samuel Clarke of Fireteam Phoenix survived.

These three; battered, broken, and seeing no other option - chose to relinquish their loyalties to the UNSC. Isaac was broken and embraced the violent philosophies of The Banished and the Jiralhanae.
Elliot feels ashamed of his choices, but is too much of a coward to do anything other than what was necessary to survive.
Samuel is conflicted by his choices. But with the UNSC Infinity gone, the majority of Spartans dead, and even the Master Chief revealed to be lost to space . . . he sees that perhaps this was what was best for him.

No longer were they Spartans. Instead, they would help train the Spartan Killers to hunt down and kill Spartans.
Now they were Gladiators.

Six months later.
The Hand of Atriox is assembled.
Escharum is dead.
And those present witness the recording.
“My Death will inspire thousands” were among Escharum’s last words.
Little did he know that his death would reignite hope within Samuel.
Especially after seeing that Master Chief was back and had effortlessly slain the greatest of the Hand of Atriox.

They now have a new mission - kill the Spartan that martyred their leader.
Isaac is thrilled and goes in full swing with the plan. He is too far gone for redemption and must be eliminated.
Elliot is willing to face the Master Chief, but only because he feels guilt and wishes to die by the hands of the hero he had failed. Master Chief will spare Elliot, which he will repay later on in the story during the climax.
Samuel however . . . Sam will begin working as a double agent to assist The Master Chief in targeting Banished sites of importance and some of the remaining Hand of Atriox members that are hunting him down. Eventually his “betrayal” is revealed and Samuel will be second-priority target of the Hand of Atriox.

Isaac would be the final boss.
And Elliot will be someone who makes a key decision to ensure that Master Chief is able to escape safely . . . at the cost of an arm being ripped off and replaced by a cybernetic one.

The fallen Spartans will earn their title once again.
And they will then have the role of hunting down the remaining Spartan Killers of the Hand of Atriox (HVT Side Missions, though a couple might evade assassination to pose a threat in a novel or a later campaign)

What do you think?
Mini-Campaign from a separate perspective.
Pretty much a linear campaign.
New “Gladiator” Armor Core for mutli-player - a mixture of MJOLNIR and Banished engineering.
Master Chief is now an awesome NPC companion that you save a few times from what is essentially a dozen assassins coming after him.

Neat, that could potentially introduce the firefight mode to Infinite

Possibly . . . though I would rather have Firefight be added when 343 makes an ODST / Helljumper Armor Core, since Halo 3 ODST was the birth of Firefight.

Thematic sense so to speak.
Perhaps this Campaign would add three FF arenas?

  • Gladiator Cage - The place where Spartans are broken and Banished Gladiators are forged.
  • Winter’s Rest - Mid-point area where Elliot attempts to die by Chief’s hands, and nearly takes his own life before Chief stops him in order to offer a separate path of insight.
  • Dueling Grounds - Where the final battle is held between Samuel and Isaac.

MINI-CAMPAIGN TWO - KILLER BEE

Play as Spartan Laurette Agryna.
After having some limelight in the Seasonal cutscenes, it is now time for her to locate the UNSC Infinity like she said she would at the close of the Tutorial.

Well, she has found it’s wreckage on a moon that Zeta Halo was orbiting prior to the ring being taken through slip-space by The Banished.
This moon is thankfully a hospitable one. And The Banished have it under their control.
Currently, they are salvaging supplies from the UNSC Infinity wreckage, though its defenses are still up in plenty of areas.

Play as Laurette as you explore Katorga (the name of the Moon) and find a means to enter the wreckage and secure something vital that the Banished are after - Roland. Laurette has her suspicions about Roland however, since the UNSC Infinity was taken down so easily; it implies that Roland might have been a sleeper-agent for The Created.

In truth, Roland is loyal . . . but the subroutine that is “Undone Iridium” Roland is not and was the reason why the UNSC Infinity went down with hardly a fight. So Laurette secures Roland and now must evade The Banished and the Promethean forces commanded by Undone Iridium in order to find her way to a data cache.

This cache would contain the codes necessary for Laurette to scuttle what remains of the UNSC Infinity to cripple the Banished operations on Katorga. It also happens to contain the codes to locate where key personnel were fleeing to during the fall of the Infinity.
During the Campaign Laurette was able to find Spartan Sarah Palmer and Fireteam Crimson, still conducting efforts through guerrilla warfare tactics on Katorga.

But with Roland in hand, Infinity destroyed, and five Spartans recovered; Laurette now knows the last known vector destination of Captain Thomas Laskey. We return to the Johnson Academy and we get a “to be continued”, where the story will pick up in more seasonal cutscenes and then possibly another mini-campaign starring Laurette or Palmer as we finally locate Captain Laskey.

Whaddya think about my other alternative?

EDIT -
And this Campaign is called “Killer Bee” because Laurette’s armor insignia has a Bee on it.
Possibly the name of her Armor Core as well???

Could introduce a flood containment breach the banish use to distract us while they finish releasing the endless

You should play as your own character.

i hope there add also some new weapons in the game from my part some off the older halo game’s.

and i also hope for some type off boss raid’s more if you compleet all the stroy missions that you unlock something like that in the campaign mode to keep it more fun to play it longer then only the story line.

If this can’t be campaign DLC, it totally should be a book of some sort. This story is amazing.

This is exactly my problem with modern Halo writing since it’s just bad. It’s like Hw2 was supposed to connect with Infinite and nowhere did the events ever connect and then the story between 4 and 5 made no sense while Halo 5’s hunt the truth was just false advertising and then H5 story was just a mess. When Infinite came out the story just felt lazy and it was just bad writing. It feels like 343i keep hiring writers that don’t understand the lore at all or what continuation means.

I’m a point where I have zero clue what to expect from sequels or dlc expansions because the story for a while has felt disorganized and disconnected.

master chief explores an area and kills bad aliens

Yeah I guess, but honestly tho it would be better as a Mini-Campaign.

The Gladiator - A Halo Infinite Story.

Because to be honest, we have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many books as it is.
And gamers want videogame content.

I don’t mind the books, but I have found that only like 10-15% of us read them, so most of the players miss out on the story bits.

I actually infatuated my own story about this. I wanted to make one about Locke and Buck to fix their character in Halo 5.

They said that Locke was on another mission away and Buck left Osiris in Infinite’s campaign. I wanted a story where before went their own paths, the Infinite was attacked and they both were forced the cross paths again on the ring. Locke trying to find his team with Buck, only to find the Spartan killers killed Vale and Tanaka. The overall direction plot is show reveal the might of the Spartans IVs in another corner of the Ring where hope is lost, months after the UNSC lost. However, its also a direction to connect Buck on his ideal as a Spartan and why give a chance to make Locke a better character.
