Campaign DLC idea: Point of View

This DLC idea takes place back during reach, including new weapons from that time and new enemies. You play as a sanghelli Zealot who is tasked with hunting spartans on reach.

This DLC gives a “you are the bad guy” story line, which introduces a few new things to infinite. The main one being playable elites as in the main story you are a Zealot. Allied grunts, jackals, and skirmishers follow you into each mission.

This would be built on the infinites gameplay with “FOBs” having phantoms which can drop in allies, weapons, and light vehicles as you move through its medium length campaign and small open world.

New UNSC units would be introduced to fill out the enemies for this DLC, these same troopers would be added to the main campaign in places that they fit, new weapons would be added as well, and new banished ranks for both this and the main campaign.

Base story

You are Rig-Remmemee a Sanghelli zealot serving the profits whims, after a spartan 3 killed your brothers in arms you have been tasked with hunting them down. (its noble 6). doing so requires chasing the spartans through hostile areas and seeing sides of the battle never seen before.

Lead covenant troops in epic ground battles, take hunters up against hogs, fight scorpion tanks with a wraith. and more as you fight through the city. end the life of new human enemies and fight for the glory of the profits.

Will you have the strength to make it through and take out the spartan in an epic final fight with the best soldiers in your ranks?

Story starts with Kats death and ends with you killing noble 6, has a different path as you push with covenant forces always a step behind until the end.

new enemies/allies

In the campaign you see new marine enemies, these are allies in the main game but are introduced in this DLC with them appearing in places they fit in the main game.

UNSC soldiers

Cyclops soldier
info: the UNSC equivalent to a hunter pair. these soldiers are in heave industrial mechs, armed with a 20mm cannon, shoulder mounted micro missiles (Orian shoulder angels.) and some of the strongest melee out there. they are easier to kill the hunters as their armor is easily stripped, but they come in groups of 3-5 on average.

Hellbringers
info: these soldiers bring fear to insurectionists and covenant alike, armed with a high in flamethrower they work to melt enemies, their fire being extremely good against shields. though they are explosive targets.

BANISHED RANKS

note: main campaign only

Firebringer
info: a brute with an old UNSC flamethrower, these guys are highly agressive and close range fighters, they also tend to have carbines for longer range fights.

NEW WEAPONS

Just go through the reach weapons, and add the shotgun, SMG, DMR, Needle rifle, grenade launcher, pulse rifle, and pulse repeater.

In the main campaign, these would be extremely rare, except the grenade launcher which UNSC marines will use a lot, I mean they already have the 40mm grenades from the things.

Your idea is very interesting.
I also want to fight as an elite in the future DLC.
But there may be no precedent in Halo for humans to be the main enemy. This may lead to a higher game age rating.
Perhaps it is more likely to slaughter Brutes that use human weapons and vehicles. In that painting, there is a mantis painted with the symbol of the Banished.

A banished mantis would be a fun boss fight that much is for sure, especially if it was a hanible mantis.

Personally I’d rather future DLC be set on the different Biomes of Zeta Halo and further the current storyline. Though only if they’re substantial and don’t feel like 3 hour bite sized wheel spinners while we wait for Halo 7. If they’re committed to the whole “10 year thing” the story DLC has gotta be substantial enough that we don’t just want a fully fledged Halo 7 instead

No reason we can’t have both.

We can have main story DLC and side story DLC, it is a 10 year game so both are highly likely.

This all said I just want reach weapons back.

At the very least I want the DMR back. The Commando looks cool, but it reminds me of something from COD, and the muzzle climb and bloom make it an easy pass.

If they do an elite campaign based around this story time, it should be the Arbiter and Rtas fighting the banished for control of the other clans on Sanghelos.

The reach story as you mentioned above could be from the elites perspective of hunting down Spartans. Watch as you get killed by noble six before they glass the area.

Yeah And the commando and DMR can have different rolls

DMR is a single fire 3 shot kill “sniper” weapon, while the commando is an automatic “11” shot kill assault weapon.

the DMR would fail at close range while the Commando would fail at long range.

Still think we should play the elite that kills noble 6 but being one of the ones he kills in his final moments would be cool.

DMR should soon be added to the game. WCT’s Frederick 104 model contains this weapon.
As for the Arbiter, he appeared at Domez Halo with the Master Chief, Jorge, Jega, etc.
In my opinion, these commercially licensed things are of reference value

I too have thought of interesting DLC ideas for Halo Infinite’s campaign.

This would allow for the story of The Master Chief to not be too cluttered up with content and allow other characters to shine while answering some of our other questions.

For example :

  • A story of Spartan Laurette Agryna searching for the bridge crew of the UNSC Infinity, allowing us to see the wreckage of the massive ship on Zeta Halo and to get some closure as to what happened to Captain Laskey, determine whether or not Roland the AI can be trusted or not, and for Commander Sarah Palmer to pass the mantle of Spartan Commander onto Spartan Agryna.

  • Would be a great way to unlock her Armor Core for multiplayer.

  • A story of what remains of Fireteam Majestic going to save Dr. Catherine Halsey and prevent The Banished from reawakening the crashed Guardian that you can see on in the visita to the south of the campaign map.

  • Would be a great way to unlock a bunch more stuff for the Mark VII armor core.

  • A story of how Blue Team made it back to Master Chief in time to save him after he was captured. They have hesitant trust of The Weapon, but end up collaborating and saving John. Each member can be chosen to play as, with Fred, Kelly, and Linda each playing differently in terms of stats with certain weapons and some new equipment in favor of the others that were usable in the original campaign.

  • Would be a great way to unlock the Mark VI Gen-3 armor core.

  • A Halo Wars 2 expansion where Master Chief/The Weapon are a new UNSC Commander and Thrallslayer returns to be a Banished Commander, a small 7 mission story telling of how the UNSC Spirit of Fire and Red Team reunited with Blue Team.

  • Would be a great way to unlock the Mark IV Armor Core.

  • Jun-A266 and Rosenda-A344 are on Zeta Halo and have to assassinate targets as a tag-team of Spartan Headhunters, saving UNSC troops and eliminating High-Value Targets with the end goal of collecting the supplies and manpower to get a UNSC Heavy Frigate operational again.

  • Would be a great way to unlock an SPI type MJOLNIR armor core - Headhunter.

If they bring back any Reach weapon I wanna see the DMR and grenade launcher. The cindershot isn’t the same.

Cindershot is the ONE grenadelauncher I have encountered in all of the videogames I have played that just doesn’t bounce right.

Agreed, bring back the GL, we want it. I mean soldiers even have its ammo on their belts in teh base game.
